B&B La Charpenterie - Cottage Linda

B&B La Charpenterie consists of 4 individual, characterful houses located around a 19th century “Longere”. Each with comfort and their own garden to assure your privacy. We are located at the center of La Manche, a green and calm region in Normandy. Absolute silence is inevitable here!

Just a 15-minute drive from us, you have Vire and Sourdeval, where there are various shops, bars, and restaurants.
From our place, there are several walking loops.
5 minutes from us, you also have the lake Lac de la Dathee, where you can also play golf.
There is a weekly market in Sourdeval, Villedieu-les-Poêles, Vire, Mortain, ...
There is a granite museum in Saint Michel de Montjoie.
In Mortain, you have the waterfalls, La Petite Chapelle with a view on Mont Saint Michel and the Victory at Mortain museum.
We are located about an hour's drive from the sea. The nearest coastal town is Granville.
A really fun day trip connected to the sea and water is a visit to Ile Chausey. This is a French Channel island about an hour's boat ride from Granville. It is the largest European archipelago with beautiful beaches, fauna and flora.
From our place, it is also possible to visit the Mont Saint Michel and the landing beaches.
A very enjoyable and educational day trip that we also offer is a tourist excursion along the landing beaches in an original military vehicle. The tour of the landing beaches is organized by my husbandTom, in an authentic WWII vehicle. He has been passionate about the story of WWII for many years.

Cottage Linda is a small but characterful house, having a kitchenette with an original fireplace and wood burner downstairs. On the first floor, you have the bathroom with shower and divisible double bed.
Outside, there is a south-facing terrace overlooking the meadows where our Ouessant sheep graze.
A hot-tub is available in the garden to relax in silence (We charge 90 euros for using the hottub.) The only thing you will hear, is the small stream 25m away!

We can provide breakfast. The breakfast will be delivered to your cottage in a basket, and we charge 18 euros per person. For children up to 12 years old, we charge 10 euros.
We also offer the option to have dinner with us in the evening. For this, we charge 40 euros per person, which includes an aperitif, starter, main course, dessert and drinks. For children up to 12 years old, we charge 15 euros. Evening meals and breakfast are available by reservation.
Dogs are welcome with us, and we charge a one-time fee of 25 euros per dog per stay for small and medium-sized breeds. For large dogs, we charge 50 euros.
Cottages are available from 5 p.m., arrivals can be until 7 p.m. Cottages must be free by 10 am.
We are located on a dead-end street with a spacious parking area. Our estate is now 15 hectares in size.
We rent out the Linda cottage for 80 euros per night with a minimum stay of 4 nights.
If you would like to book a stay, we ask you to pay a deposit of 50% of the rent for our cottages. The remaining amount is to be paid in cash upon departure.
