Welcome to Whistle Stop, a beautiful three bedroomed cottage in the village of Aldborough, which overlooks the village green and cricket pitch, and has a pub and village shop just a few steps away. Aldborough is one of Norfolk’s hidden gems, an attractive village with plenty of walks and cycle routes nearby. Cricket is played on the green throughout summer, and you are only a short drive away from so many attractions.

Whistle Stop is well placed for exploring Norfolk, the popular resort of Cromer is just 8 miles away. Sandy picturesque beaches are easily accessible all along the coast, with resident seals at Blakeney Point. You can hire a boat for the day and explore the vast waterways of the famous Broads or visit the beautiful city of Norwich with it’s Cathedral, shops, and historic buildings just 40 minutes away.

Whistle Stop is a characterful cottage built in 1886 which sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There is a good village pub which serves food and a shop with post office as well as a children's play area on the far side of the green, making the property perfect for a couples or family holiday. Please note there is a pond which, although isn’t deep and is very small, it is advised to keep children supervised.

Beautiful cottage

By Annie on 09-Jul-2022

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful village. Would visit again. Lots of stuff for the kids in the area and Darren & Wendy went the extra mile to provide a cot, mattress and bed bumper for the little ones which was very much appreciated!

Beautiful cottage

By Lucy on 28-May-2022

What can we say about this beautiful cottage. It was everything we wanted and more. It is located in the beautiful Norfolk countryside with plenty of local walks from the cottage to keep the four legged family members happy. It’s also a great hub if you don’t mind driving to explore all areas of the Norfolk Coastline and National Trust parks. We enjoyed trips to Old Hunstanton, Cromer, Sheringham Park and Horsey wind pump to name a few, all of which were dog friendly all year round. The cottage itself had all the amenities you could possibly want for a short stay and the personal touches such as the home biscuits and wine really made you feel welcome. It felt very much like home from home, especially with the enclosed garden . The local pub and shop where a bonus also. We look forward to coming to stay again and would recommend to all that you book if you can. Thank you for our the best holiday of the year. You’ve set the bar high.
