Description

Clovehayes has two Emperor size beds (200 x 200) and one Super King size bed (180 x 200) splitting into twins if required. All beds have hypoallergenic pillows, duvets and toppers with 400 thread count Eygptian Cotton sheets and covers.

One Emperor bedroom is ensuite and there is one bathroom with bath and shower facilities for use by all guests. All bedrooms have a Pure DAB radio with bluetooth connection, hair dryer, alarm clock, wooden coat hangers and USB sockets. A selection of luxury towels are provided for use on the premises, together with Duck Island toiletries. Please bring your own beach towels.

Heating is by gas central heating and real flame burning log-effect gas fire. The bathroom and ensuite have electric underfloor heating which can be switched on if required. Towel rails can also be heated electrically for those hot summer days when central heating is not required. Bluetooth connection to mirrors in the Bathroom and Ensuite enable personal music to be played.

The kitchen is fully equipped with items such as Sage Nespresso coffee maker, Sage blender, microwave, Crock-Pot, steamer, Robert Welch cutlery, John Lewis Croft Collection Luna tableware as well as the usual, electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. 1 socket is USB. There is a separate dining room which seats six.

A smart TV with Freesat and NOW TV and a Pure DAB radio are located in the living room. Fibre Broadband with Free WiFi is available. Through the living room French door there is direct access to the patio, garden and paddock. A rattan 6 seater table set with 4 foot stools and Weber gas barbecue are conveniently located just outside of the living room and close to the dining room and kitchen.

Clovehayes has convenient free parking and is surrounded by a lawned garden, with small fishpond, patio area and paddock to the rear.

The paddock contains part of a Scheduled Monument, a Roman Motte which is known as Castle Court. This appears as a small hill at the side of the paddock with a dip around its base. More information can be found at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1020268

Regarding accessibility ~ unfortunately the bungalow is not currently suitable for wheelchairs and has a few steps to access the property. The beds are also quite high.

Children 11+ are very welcome but unfortunately we cannot accept pets at the property.

Our patio area is beautiful but can be slippery with some footwear when wet or icy.

Amazing Property With Secure Bike Storage

This property is located in a small village in mid-Devon and is an excellent base for exploring Devon. There is a secure outbuilding where we were able to store our pushbikes which we took with us. The property is amazingly equipped with top of the range kitchen equipment, everything in the property was of the highest quality and the owner, Janet, has thought of everything to make for a comfortable stay. It was spotlessly clean and all of the beds were huge and extremely comfortable. We were lucky with the weather and had a lovely week in August and made full use of the gas BBQ and outdoor seating area. The only noise you can hear when you are relaxing in the garden is the birds and the odd horse going past on the road. The local village has everything you need including a small supermarket, a takeaway and fish and chip shop all of which we used. The takeaway delivered which was even better. Due to Covid the pubs in the local village were not open so it was BBQs, takeaways and beers in the lovely garden - heaven! Would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay.
