Description
A lovely sunny holiday cottage in rural North Yorkshire Close House Cottage is a very peaceful setting for a relaxing break.And yet you are not far from the market town of Easingwold where you can get all necessities and stop for a coffee sitting out in the market square.
The historic town of York is within easy reach for a fabulous day out or an evening meal. There are a number of great country pubs serving a rich variety of delicious food locally, the Durham Ox an award winning pub being a couple of miles away in Crayke. It is not far to the coast or the Dales for a day out and wonderful walks abound in the Howardian Hills and beyond.
The area is generally highly regarded for cycling and Close House Cottage is an ideal place to base yourself with easy cycling from the door. There are a lot of great walks through wonderful countryside directly from the cottage as well and many more further afield. We provide local OS maps to help you to decide where to go.
There is a large number of historic houses in the area, both National Trust and privately owned. Castle Howard and Beningborough are a just a few miles up the road to name a couple.
Close House Cottage boasts a large bedroom with king size bed and large warm bathroom both off a large sunny landing. Downstairs there is a roomy living dining area with a bespoke well equipped kitchen off it and a downstairs toilet. The door from the kitchen leads into a private, enclosed courtyard which catches the sun most of the day. There are wonderful views of the surrounding countryside from all the windows.
We welcome up to two well behaved dogs.
Prices quoted are per night. Weekly stays are: £645 June-October and £545 October to June. 3 night stays £350 and £445 for 4 night stays.
