Description
Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. This 1830stone farm house & barn is situated at the top of the plateau above the Lot valley, 5 minutes from the Cahors vineyards and wine tasting. Set in 5 acres of meadows & walnut orchards our house has been lovingly restored to offer a peaceful and relaxing stay amongst nature in the countryside. With exclusive use of a private patio with large spa hot tub, shaded dining area, bbq, sunbeds and comfy seating perfect for aperitifs.
The barn is open plan with a fully fitted kitchen, breakfast bar. Dining table, 2 sofas and chair in the living room with tv. Two bathrooms with showers, next to the big bedrooms with double beds. There is a open fire and central heating for winter.
Super fast WiFi. Ping pong table. Boules court.
Pet friendly with secure garden.

We had a marvellous time at Kirstie and Russells beautiful gite. The decor is very tasteful and a real credit to the heart and soul they've put into this place. The hot tub is great to have. The terrace is beautiful to sit out on. The occasional visit from Peggie (the dog) is something to look forward to - she's such a nice dog. The internet speed was more than enough for remote working as was the space to occupy 2 wide screens without 'getting in the way' and allowing a permanent setup. Working then refreshing in the hot tub and then working again became a regular pattern of the lovely quiet days. The bakery in Lacapelle is certainly worth a visit as is the community bar held at the same time in the room and terrace above. In short we would not hesitate staying here again. It was welcome highlight in our journey to Spain and we'll probably stay again on our way back through France. Pierre

The barn is beautifully renovated and very pleasant to stay in. We were able to enjoy the BBQ and a fireplace with the wood kindly made available. The heated jacuzzi was very nice for us and our little boy. We enjoyed the welcome basket offered with eggs from the henhouse, a bottle of wine from the neighboring vineyard, homemade jam, a baguette and pastries, convenient because we arrived in the evening. We came for peace and nature and we were served. Everything is included and it is very comfortable: sheets, towels, essentials that are not always found in the accommodation. We'll be back for sure! Russel and Kristie are very welcoming and caring. They know how to be there for their hosts while remaining discreet.
