Book our spacious 6-ensuite bedroom holiday home on Retallack Resort in North Cornwall. The living spaces are fantastic for a large group, the large dining table seats 12/14 and has great views of the pool and lake. The kitchen is equipped to a very high standard with to create a dinner party experience or for your in house chef.Your private holiday home benefits from two beautiful sitting rooms, a Netflix cinema room with epic games room with pool table and darts.. Dine indoors, a beautiful dining space with views out across the garden and pool or entertain alfresco on the terrace with the Green Egg BBQ, perfect to create a culinary masterpiece! The outdoor table tennis table will have the whole family entertained !
The Herons House is one of a kind at Retallack Resort. Step out on your huge enclosed astro-grass garden, with heated private pool, sun loungers with pool towels, a large brand new bubbling hot tub and sauna.
The Herons offers every luxury with wellies for our guests, with a wide range of sizes including children’s, to all the baby friendly equipment from two travel cots to pottys, baby baths, changing mats and so much more.
This fantastic private party house in North Cornwall includes access to the resorts’ health club with Matrix gym, fitness classes, spa, heated indoor pool, tennis courts, restaurant and more. Surf the FlowRider or race around the AquaPark, take on the cable-ski or simply enjoy a gentle walk around the lakes.

As a family we’ve had a difficult time of late and this stay was a celebration for my Brother’s 30th, so this was a really lovely opportunity for us. The document provided prior to arrival was great! It clearly explained everything we needed to know. The house was as described. The pool, sauna and hot tub were all fab and well maintained. There was plenty of much needed space for the kids and dogs without having to worry they would be out of sight due to the houses positioning. The property is close to well known Newquay, Padstow and only 45 mins or so away from St Ives. There are also some other beautiful beaches nearby such as Crantock, Holywell and Poly Joke. We didn’t have time to explore the Retallack Site too much but from what we saw it had a lot to offer. We will hopefully be back sometime soon! Thank you Amy ️
Ruby Wedding Anniversary celebration
By Karen on 01-Jun-2025We stayed at Herons House as part of our Ruby Wedding Anniversary celebrations with our children and grandchildren. The facilities at the house were perfect for the age-range of our party. (7 adults, 2 toddlers and a baby). We chose not to use the sauna but the pool was lovely and warm and the hot tub was very welcome, especially on chilly evenings. The kitchen and laundry facilities were exactly those needed for a busy family holiday. Amy contacted us ahead of our stay to give additional information and said to feel free to contact her with any other queries. The beaches and nearby attractions meant the whole family was entertained and we had a wonderful, memorable holiday.
Fantastic House!
By helen on 21-Apr-2025What a fantastic house! 12 of us have just spent Easter here including grandchildren and dogs. We’ve just had the best time. The pool and hot tub are brilliant. The garden is amazing. The house is spotlessly clean and so spacious. So peaceful at night as well. We will definitely return here !

There will always be a special place in our hearts for The Herons, our children have grown up holidaying there. We hope to holiday there for many more years to come, the year just wouldn’t be the same without a family stay at The Herons making precious memories.
Fabulous 75th Birthday Celebration!
By P Hayes on 17-Nov-2025Fabulous 75th birthday celebration weekend with children and grandchildren - age range 75 down to 2 years. It was beautifully equipped with everything you need with so much space it was hard to believe there were 12 of us. The amazing facilities at this lodge meant that everyone was able to participate in something they loved. At any one time there were people swimming, sharing the hot tub, playing table tennis or pool, singing karaoke, having foot massage - it was wonderful creating very special memories. So special that after talking about it I now have three friends wanting to stay. Can’t wait to go again.
