Description
A quiet and charming place to share with your family and friends.Birds songs, a morning visit of deers, sun bath nearby the private and heated pool, a Petanque play, a bicycle trip in the country around or into the large forest, playing pool with a cool beer ,...are some of the pleasures you'll live in our gite.
An american billiard, a bar billiard, darts, a french ball field (pétanque), some table games and 5 bicycles are available
There are 3 double private bedroom, 1 of them with an added single bed. There are also 2 single private rooms. The house is perfect for 8 persons but can accept an addition of:
- 1 person on a single bed in the double bedroom
- 2 persons on a sofa but with low comfort
- 2 babies in baby beds
One of the double bedroom has a private small private salon
All bedrooms are upstair
One of the shower room is on ground floor
The large living room has 2 triple sofa and an armchair. A small extra sofa is available to get up to 9 places around the 55" TV (Netflix, Web and some English channels from satellite)
The kitchen has all equipment and the dining room can recieve up to 10 persons
the 2nd living room is used as billiard room
Coffee: filter machine, Moka and Senseo (Philipps) machine
The garden includes a 3 or 4 cars parking place, grass areas, sunny or shady, a cover but open barn near the pool with a large table, a dart game and BBQ (under possible restriction according to authoritees), perfect for hard sun or rain.
Behind the house, you will find a large field sometimes used for horses or goats.
The 25oC heated pool is 8m x 4m, usually open between the 15 June and the 15 September (ajustable according to weather). It is secured with a reinforced tarpaulin to be placed and removed under renters responsibility. However, there is no fence around the pool so renters with children won't leave them free alone in the garden
The house being in the countryside, a car is mandatory.
Infos about what to see, where to eat will be sent after booking. But you can see on a map that Saumur is at 30min drive, Chinon at 40min, Bourgueil and Langeais at 15min.
No bed sheet and towel isn't supplied.
The bed sizes are
1 double bed 160x200 (as 2 mattresses 80x200)
2 double beds 140x190 (+1 bed-sofa on the mezzanin)
3 single beds 90x190
Pets are not welcome unfortunately because of damage risk. ️
Nota Bene:
1- For summer holidays (July and August), complete weeks only are available from saturday to saturday
2- You will contact us easily by WhatsApp on the +90xxx number. The +33xxx number may not reach us sometime in the year. Anyway, feel free to ask any question.
3- Ceiling height: Upstairs, watch your head! The roof beams are 1.75 m high.
4- Peace and quiet: Peace and quiet are the hallmarks of the countryside. We have friendly and quiet neighbors close to the house. Therefore, the absolute rule is to respect them: Outside, no noise after 10 pm and no loud music at any time. This is actually the subject of a municipal bylaw.
5- Septic tanks: be careful with discharge. Follow the rules for septic tanks!
6- Electric vehicle charging is prohibited for safety reasons.
7- Accepting visitors and vehicles not included in the reservation is also prohibited.
Please note: The property entrance is monitored by camera.

Quiet rural location but central to the chateaus, towns and wine region. Loved the games and extras. Marc was a great host, responded quickly, fab recommendations and nothing was too much trouble.

The house is in a beautiful and peaceful location. Very well equipped (though you bring your own bed linen and towels. The local village has a cute shop and bar/restaurant with very friendly owners. We visited lots of neighbouring towns, enjoyed a local market and cycled to the lake. We also visited Chinon and Villandry. Marc was communicative throughout. Highly recommend.
