Description
Our villa which sleeps six is located in the beautiful countryside of the southern Vendee, an area known for its microclimate and record-number of sunshine hours per year. An easy drive from St Malo and only 45 minutes from La Rochelle airport. It is the perfect location for a family holiday with so many activities right on your doorstep and the beautiful safe sandy beaches are only a 10 minute drive.The O’Gliss Waterpark is 5 minutes drive away and the O'Fun Park which is the largest adventure park in the Vendee with accrobranche (similar to Go Ape) paintballing and many other activities for all ages is 5 minutes drive too. With the Go-Karting track and the canoeing on the Marais all very close to the house there is something different to do every day!
Only 10 minutes to many beautiful beaches including La Tranche sur mer; La Griere and Les Conches ( perfect for surfing) The lovely town of Angles is less than 10 minutes drive with its twice-weekly markets, magnificent church and a great trattoria/pizza take-away.
Our family friendly house is situated in a pretty village which has a small shop just opposite that sells the basics including fresh croissants and bread in the mornings. The cafe/bar is attached and on a weekend there is a small group of guitarists playing and a food truck which sells the most delicious burgers and chips! Very handy if you don't fancy cooking or don't want to venture too far! The nearest supermarket and petrol station is a 5 minute drive away.
The secluded back garden boasts a beautiful heated pool which is accessed by a safety gate and which is totally private with a flower-covered pergola and barbecue ,perfect for lazy lunchtimes by the pool. We also have a full sized pool/snooker table and and table tennis for your enjoyment and a toilet in the games room. We have lots of games and books available also.
The large kitchen/diner is very well equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, air fryer, slow cooker, iron, ironing board, washing machine.
There are three bedrooms with fans which consist of one king size bed; one double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom, shower room with large walk-in shower and a separate toilet.

By Andy VW on 11-Jul-2025Stayed in this lovely villa for a week with our 2 children and our dog, the villa was beautiful and was perfectly equipped with plenty to entertain both children and adults alike. The location was also perfect, from the easy access to local towns and villages, to the village in which the villa is situated. Communication with the owner was easy, effective and timely, ample parking, and very reasonably priced. All in all, could not have been happier!

Great location
By Georgina on 18-Jun-2025The gite was very well equipped and cool despite the seasonally unusual weather conditions. The pool was great and a lovely temperature. Great access to the local surfing beach and we had a day out at the O Gliss water park which was enjoyed by everyone.

Relaxing holiday
By Carole Foster on 23-Aug-2024We had a very relaxing holiday in this lovely home. The pool was warm and private. The children loved it. There was always somewhere to sit and read in the sun or shade. We used the very useful BBQ and enjoyed eating outside. The pool table was a bonus and was loved by my son and husband. Unfortunately the air hockey wasn’t working but as the pool was such a hit, no one really noticed! The village is extremely peaceful. We ventured to a beautiful nearby beach and also to the Epicere for daily croissants but other than that everyone wanted to stay in the pool!

Fabulous
By Rev John on 26-Jul-2024The accommodation at La Jonchière is fabulous. Five of us had the best holiday ever and the owners were lovely to deal with. Both thoughtful and kind. There was so much space and we lacked for nothing. We loved the area that was so peaceful in the village the Cafe and shop were just delightful. The area was full of sun flowers and a great place for bird watching, Purple herons and Storks to name just two. The beaches nearby were lovely. Great surfing and great facilities. They were busy beaches and we would recommend getting to them early. The local water parks and there are two nearby were amazingly good fun and entertained our teenagers for hours on end. The nearby Chateau and towns are great to visit. Best of all we returned to a wonderful accommodation with a fabulous pool which we all spend hours and hours in and around. When the sunset it was a glass or two by that pool with the twinkling night lights. Fabulous. We couldn't fault it.

Wonderful holiday in authentic French village
By Dawn Kontzle on 05-Jul-2024Le Pavillon is a lovely property based in the charming village of La Jonchère. The gîte has everything you could need for your holiday, we enjoyed table tennis and snooker along with the pool and beautiful outside area, lots of space for eating and chilling. The village has a lovely little cafe, épicerie so each day was started with coffee and fresh croissant, on a Friday evening the village come together for food, drinks and a little local guitar playing…voted by all as best evening of the holiday! Such fun! Sad to leave but will be back! Thank you Julie!

A lovely place to stay
By sarah cole on 24-May-2024We have just returned from a lovely stay at Le Pavillon. Clean and well presented home in a small village. Kids loved the swimming pool and outside area. Everything there for an enjoyable relaxing stay.
