The North Dordogne is one of the most beautiful & popular regions in France & is well known for its numerous prehistoric sites, including the famous Grotte de Lascaux & Grotte de Villars, or for the more energetic there are endless opportunities to canoe & kayak upon its many rivers. Beautiful French farmhouse

By Roger & Nicki Knight on 30-Jul-2022

Spent another week at this lovely farmhouse. A week in the mid 30’s relaxing around the pool was what the Dr ordered. The house & 2 acre grounds are beautiful & peaceful. Mind you you may get disturbed by bird song & occasional tractor in a field. The salt water heated pool is fantastic. We loved this property when we visited two years ago during Covid problems & was a lovely escape after lockdown & decided to visit again. The owners go above & beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly. The welcome pack is fantastic. This is the nicest place we have rented & we have done many, most in the Dordogne region. This is a home from home & you can tell the owners love the house also & has been a family holiday home for many years. Restored to a very high standard. Lovely lounge with large TV & Sky box so you have all the usual English TV channels. For families there’s everything available. Pool, table tennis, bikes, darts, basketball hoop, badminton net & Wi-Fi for their gadgets etc. I can’t imagine anyone not loving this property & grounds. If this place is available then book it, you won’t be disappointed. Ideally located for visiting all the many locations to visit. Located roughly an hours drive south of Limoges. We WILL be back!

A fantastic break with children

By The Hackett family on 18-Jun-2022

This beautiful property came equipped with everything we needed for a weeks stay with our 7 and 9 year old children. The house is spacious and combines old world charm with up to date luxuries like beautiful modern bathrooms with powerful showers. The bedding and towels were lovely quality and plentiful, and we were greeted with a very generous basket of goodies which was more than enough to tide us over for the first evening and beyond. But the property’s real selling point is it’s beautiful grounds and fantastic pool. There is everything you might need from table tennis to basketball, and the location provides complete privacy. The outside space and pool were immaculate. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby, lots of lovely villages to explore, and the very best patisserie just up the road in Payzac. Thank you to the owners for a truly lovely stay.
