Leave ReviewCosy retreat in a rural idyll
By Pippa Grey on 27-Sep-2025A beautifully renovated country cottage. Cannot fault anything, loved the pool, badminton, ping pong, comfortable beds, The welcome basket was so thoughtfully done, almost tailor made for my sister, who loved the cremant, Yorkshire tea etc! Already recommended it to several friends.
Fabulous holiday in everyway
By Ann & Tony Ferris on 31-May-2025We just had the most wonderful holiday at L'Aubuge Haute, our dog Nelson too. The tranquility, surrounding landscape, the tress all of it. The Farmhouse was perfect for us and our dog and the bread oven is just so lovely; private bedroom but also so useful for showering/WC from the terraces and pool . Fantastic pool and heated for us it actually makes this such a special place. It's just so relaxing, peaceful and private which I (Ann) particularly loved. Payzac we visited early evenings for a drink or snack. We returned to Chateaux Segur on numerous afternoons/evenings such fabulous place for a meal or drink. We hope to be able to visit again.

Absolutely gorgeous, secluded, peaceful and beautiful
By Jo & Doug on 28-Sep-2024We stayed for a week at the beginning of October. The property was spotless, full of character and well equipped. The days were relatively warm so we spent time round the pool which was superb and heated, plus drove out and about looking at the superb scenery. We had a couple of log fires in the evening which was so cosy. There was just the 2 of us and a small dog, but there is plenty of space for more. The grounds were exceptional, and was so nice to take a stroll around. The stars at night were also impressive due to the minimal light pollution. Plenty of shops a short drive away and a great vet in Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche for the return to UK check up and wormer. I would definitely recommend this place.
A fabulous and peaceful retreat
By Holly Wild on 20-Jul-2024Everything was just perfect and we couldn’t have wished for a more relaxing and peaceful holiday. The house is typically rustic and quirky but beautifully done out with all modern facilities. It’s extremely private, you are not overlooked via any aspect. The sunrises, sunsets and views are spectacular. The gardens are beautifully kept and that pool…….wow! I took items with me that I didn’t need to have packed, everything is there for you to use. Our boys were delighted that there were football goals, table tennis, bikes and a bbq! We had planned days out but we only left once to go kayaking, we just didn’t feel the need to leave apart from the daily trip into Payzac for croissants and cakes. There was even a welcome hamper on our arrival so we could get some wine chilling before having to venture out to a supermarket. Very special memories made in a beautiful part of the country, I will never forget those very special views. The only downside is that it’s fully booked next summer so we have to wait 2 years to return!!!! The owners really have thought of everything to provide a fabulous holiday - thank you
