Description

Sleeps 6, pets welcome, enclosed secluded garden with view of the sea

This cosy self-catering cottage is just a five minute walk over the adjacent fields to Abereiddy Bay with its sandy dog friendly beach, famous blue lagoon and well known coastal path.
The cottage is welcoming and comfortable with oil central heating and two log burning stoves (one in the sitting room and one in the dining room) which can be enjoyed all year round.
The kitchen is well equipped with a gas Esse cooker (small version of an Aga) as well as an electric hob and oven so cooking is easy but there are also plenty of great places to eat nearby!
The master bedroom with an en -suite (shower and toilet) and one twin bedded room with a bathroom opposite are on the ground floor. An attractive spiral staircase from the dining room leads to a twin bedded loft room .
The sitting room has a three seat sofa and 2 arm chairs with french windows lead out to the garden and the sea view of Abereiddy .
The cottage is only five miles from the smallest Cathedral city in Wales, St. David's, which has been a place of pilgrimage since the Middle Ages. It is well known for music festivals and art galleries and offers many attractions such as trips around Ramsay Island to watch the birds and see the large colonies of grey seals at play. Surfing at the nearby beaches of Whitesands and Newgale is popular for all ages.
Seven miles North of the cottage is Fishguard. Day trips to Ireland are easy to book and local shops stock all the essentials. Many people also enjoy browsing in the local art galleries.
Cycling is popular as the No 5 route allows all ages to enjoy beautiful views of the sea and countryside.
There is easy access to a wide range of activities in the area including:surfing, coasteering, swimming, walking, fishing, horse-riding, golf, windsurfing and kite surfing
Eating out is well catered for with a range of excellent restaurants and pubs.
