Overview
Description
Little Rogeston Cottage is a pretty barn conversion in a wonderful location. The single-storey stone holiday cottage is surrounded by gorgeous countryside and is located just a ten minute drive from the beautiful beaches of the Pembrokeshire Coast. The owners have decorated the one-bedroom cottage in a stylish way, mixing vintage pieces with modern conveniences to create a welcoming atmosphere for couples and individuals alike. Cleverly designed for a bright airy feel, the living area has a vaulted ceiling with an overhead velux that floods the room with light whilst a traditional window offers a view across the gardens bringing the outside in. The bedroom has a cosy feel boasting a romantic vintage bed that has a comfy modern mattress and stylish wall drapes that give a stylish look to the room.Little Rogeston is truly an escape for all seasons with the benefit of a private garden area to enjoy warm summer evenings outside either dining or just relaxing surrounded by the well maintained shrubs and trees whilst the log burner which supplements the full modern heating system is perfect for cosy winter returns after a bracing day out in the local countryside, on local beaches or discovering our many inland or coastal villages.
A stay at Little Rogeston Cottage offers access to both the spectacular Pembrokeshire coast in one direction and beautiful countryside all the way to the Preselli hills going inland.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path and breathtaking beaches are just a few miles from the cottage. If you seek seclusion then Druidston Haven Beach will be your pick with its spectacular cliffs and arches. You can walk from Newgale to Broad Haven via Druidston Haven at low tide or along the coastal footpath at any time. Many of the local beaches are dog friendly throughout the year making Little Rogeston an ideal pick if you are bringing a four legged friend with you.
You may even see horses galloping along the sand - there's a local riding school that takes group rides along the beach.
Newgale and Broad Haven are both good for surfing, with lessons and equipment hire for visitors who need them and Little Rogeston shares a lockable store if you bring your own kit. There's also a dive school between Broad Haven and Little Haven, and a choice of local businesses running coasteering expeditions.
The picturesque fishing village of Solva is around 30 minutes north of Little Rogeston Cottage. It's an excellent choice for lunch, and it has a harbour wall that's popular for crabbing. A short drive from Solva, Wales' smallest city, St David's, could be mistaken for a village if not for the cathedral at its centre which will surely take your breath away. It has a great mix of galleries and shops to browse and cafes to restore your energy levels after a morning of sightseeing. Other day trips can include a boat trip to see the puffins on Skomer Island, sunning yourself on the beach at picturesque Barafundle Bay, marvelling at the beauty of the Blue Lagoon, or visiting castles like Pembroke and Haverfordwest.
Whilst peacefully located in the hamlet of Rogeston the shops and other amenities of Haverfordwest are only 15-minutes away, and there's an excellent farm shop within a five-minute drive which regular guests rave about. Eating out can be a short drive away too with pubs and restaurants in Nolton Haven, Broad Haven, Little Haven or Roche, all 10-15 minutes drive away.

Our fourth visit to Rogeston
By Mike, Paula and Eppie on 23-May-2025First stay in `Little Rogeston Cottage which we found very comfortable and well equipped. We have particularly enjoyed listening to all the birds around the cottage and watching lots of fledglings leaving the nest boxes, very fortunate to see a spotted flycatcher - quite a rare bird! Weather has been perfect and as always, Pembrokeshire never disappoints.
