With sustainability built into its foundations and surrounded by nine acres of stunning landscaped meadows, woodland and gardens, Cedar is an idyllic setting for a restorative escape.
The Long Barn is home to a stylish and sustainably designed holiday property, Cedar is set within nine peaceful, picturesque acres in the heart of Pembrokeshire. Offering 5* comfort, whilst being imaginatively and authentically designed, to ensure you make special memories to last a lifetime. The property combines raw, honest materials such as stone, slate, wood and metal, with touches of comfort, such as roll top baths, vintage furnishings, log burners and home-grown flowers. Every detail has been carefully considered – from large open-plan spaces, underfloor heating, log burners, dog houses, large bi-fold doors and outdoor covered BBQ areas – in order to create a really special sanctuary space to unwind and explore West Wales with your family, friends and four-legged friends. Cedar is dog-friendly, with a cosy dog den, fully-enclosed garden areas, plus nine glorious acres of grounds to explore. You could wander beside the stream, play ball games in the play field, relax and watch wildlife by the large pond or picnic on one of the three picnic tables dotted throughout the grounds. Nearly every tree, hedge and flower has been planted by ourselves, creating a peaceful haven to reconnect with nature. Perfectly, centrally located for visiting all of Pembrokeshire. Just a short drive from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and award-winning beaches such as Newgale, Little Haven and Barafundle Bay. Head north to the Preseli Hills, south to Tenby and west to the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Whether you’re planning a relaxing, memorable retreat, an adventurous water-sports holiday or a special family stay near the sea, The Long Barn offers a rare blend of sustainably and creatively crafted, family-focused and dog welcoming accommodation, in a private setting to reconnect to nature.

Instantly Relaxed
By Beverley Miller on 23-Aug-2025We arrived tired & weary after a long 6 hour journey to get here, however the moment we stepped through the door we were instantly relaxed. Thank you Karen for your warm hospitality. We loved the welcome gifts very much as did Poppy, our fur baby. We choose our holiday accommodation carefully, we wanted a quiet, luxurious retreat and “Cedar” certainly exceeded our expectations. We’ve never stayed anywhere so well equipped, you really thought of everything. We have visited some wonderful places Pembroke Castle, Tenby, the beaches at Freshwater East, Marloe Sands, however we saved the best until last, an amazing walk from Broad Haven South (thank you Rob for recommending this). We wished we had the time to do the boat trips to Caldey Island and Skomer, that said we will absolutley return this this stunning part of the world. Thank you once again & we look forward to seeing you in 2026. Best wishes x x x x
Fantastic Stay

A beautifully presented property with such fantastic attention to detail - the interior design with some fantastic quirky design choices (the manhole cover side-table - loved it!). Both humans & canine felt incredibly welcome with delicious food gifts for us both. We have never stayed anywhere quite so dog friendly. The hot/ cold dog washing shower was genius - & so welcome with autumnal beach walks & cliff top muddy walks aplenty. It was such a gem hidden away just outside Haverfordwest. We are seasoned travellers to Pembrokeshire and it was a great location for visiting a variety of our favourite beaches without driving too far. Even the seasonal weather did nothing to dampen our enjoyment as we were so cosy in out cottage. Just a brilliant few days - & already planning our next trip. Thank you so much Stayed November 2023
Incredible Stay

The enclosed grounds were perfect for letting our dog, Max, explore off-lead, and the beautiful setting felt like something out of a fairytale. It was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. The homemade treats left for both us and Max were such a thoughtful touch. Karen and Rob are wonderful hosts, and it was a pleasure to experience the beautiful life they’ve built in this incredible location. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, dog-friendly getaway! Stayed October 2024
Fab place to stay

We stayed at Cedar - very clean, everything you could need in the kitchen, lots of space & very comfortable. Great provisions for dogs & kids (& wonderful goodies for humans too!). Highly recommended, hope to return
