Description
The barn is situated opposite the wonderful wildlife reserve of Pensthorpe, in open country - the views from the barn are so expansive that you can barely see another house. The underfloor and gas central heating ensure that it is always cosy but, in the summer, the open plan living area with 3 sets of French windows mean you can enjoy al fresco living. The contemporary furnishings are comfortable and stylish. There is plenty of dining furniture etc so that you can have your friends around easily. The local area has many excellent pubs and restaurants and on the coast at Holkham and Wells you will find beautiful sandy beaches. The barn is the perfect place from which to explore the area and enjoy a home away from home. You can book the properties either singly, or as a pair for larger parties.Bedroom Details

By Karen on 27-Jun-2025This is our second year staying at Wanstead Barn and absolutely love it here. The barn has every amenity you could wish for, large open rooms (ideal when you have a large dog!), a good size kitchen area with all the essentials and a large utility room great for hanging wet coats and dog leads! Both very comfortable bedrooms are ensuite, one with a bath, the other with a walk in shower, and there is a great little area to sit and look out over the fields on the landing. But the best bit is the beautiful peace and quiet. I love sitting in the little enclosed garden for breakfast or evening drinks and listening to the birdsong or watching the hares - I had only ever seen rabbits before! This barn really is a gem!

Great location
By Tracy on 30-Aug-2024Great location, very peaceful. Lovely to be able to watch wildlife from all windows. Very spacious and comfortably equipped. Ideal location to reach all areas easily whether you enjoy the beach or prefer walks in the country or shopping in Norwich. This was our 5th visit, although the first for several years, already planning a return.
Serene location
By Karen on 14-Jun-2024I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and serene location. The barn had everything we needed and was bright, modern and spacious. sitting out of an evening with a glass of wine watching the sun go down and the hares run past was the perfect end to a day!
One of the best we've stayed in
By John on 17-May-2024As someone who has always aspired to live in the middle of a field, I was in my element, the accommodation is probably one of the best we've stayed in, very comfortable and as far as the equipment is concerned, we were short of nothing. It was a very pleasant stay and we'll likely return at some stage.
Absolutely brilliant barn
