Overview
Description
17 Hallgarth is situated on the edge of the market town of Pickering in North Yorkshire. We hold the Visitor Ready accreditation which is endorsed by the AA and Visit England. The cottage is within easy reach of shops, pubs and cafés but a short drive away from the open countryside of the North York Moors and the coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped to a high standard with all modern conveniences in a traditionally furnished property. The cottage has a comfortable living room with plenty of seating, a large television with a DVD player and a Roku streaming device and a large selection of books. There is also a seperate dining room and a well equipped kitchen with a full range of appliances including a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The cottage is equipped with full fibre WiFi which is included in the rental price. It can sleep four in two rooms which are over two floors. The double room is a large room which can easily accommodate two infants in travel cots in addition to two adults. The second room is a twin bedded attic room. The cottage has a traditional garden which offers lawns and seating on a patio to the rear of the cottage. The garden is fully enclosed and there is a private parking space for one vehicle which is accessible from the rear of the property. Families are welcome, we can provide travel cots, a high chair and stair gates at no additional charge. We also welcome well behaved dogs in our cottage at no extra charge. All gas and electricity, all towels and bedlinen, unlimited full fibre WiFi and a complimentary Yorkshire welcome basket are included in the rental price. Please note 17 Hallgarth is a traditional cottage which, as part of its charm has narrow steps, uneven floors and restricted headroom is some rooms. As it is Grade II listed major internal modifications are not permitted. Therefore we would advise that the cottage may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility. We welcome children to our cottage but please be aware that the traditional cottage garden does contain some toxic plants and the garden is terraced.
Changeover day is Friday with the exception of four night stays which offer a Monday check in. Flexibility is sometimes possible - please ask.

Cottage beautifully clean , equipped for cooking and cosy. Heather very good on communication and I'm sure if there was any problems she would respond quickly. We had a lovely stay and would certainly use the cottage again. The welcome pack was very gratefully received. Tips for other travellers A walk around the castle at Pickering is pleasant, but plenty of walks and a visit to Nunnington hall worth wile.

Yes Comments about this property We had a lovely stay recently at Hallgarth. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We really appreciated all the basic self catering items provided and the Welcome pack was excellent. Our little dog loved the enclosed garden to run up and down in. We would book the cottage again if we return to Pickering for another long weekend break Thank you to Heather for making Hallgarth such a welcoming place to stay
