THE SPACE

This stylish and extremely comfortable cottage is rather deceptive! From the outside a traditional market town Cottage but as soon as you step inside Nine PotterHill you begin to feel very much at home, with a wonderful mix of contemporary and traditional interiors. Owners Matt & Lisa have gone to great lengths to create a warm and welcoming vibe.

The open plan living/dining area is light and airy with comfy sofa and chairs all surrounding a wonderful log burner to keep you warm on chilly Yorkshire days! There is a smart TV and DVD player; perfect for hunkering down and watching your favourite moves or catching up after a busy day exploring the hidden gems of North Yorkshire.

The kitchen leads from the dining area and has been thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay, including an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, washing machine and microwave plus an expresso coffee machine for brewing up on lazy mornings while you plan your day.
Climb the staircase to reach the first of three enchanting bedrooms. The Purple Room is located at the front of the property with views onto the main street of this pretty market town. With a super comfy double bed taking centre stage adorned with the softest pillows and sumptuous duvet, it is the perfect place for a restful night’s sleep.

Across the landing you will find the crème dela crème of bathrooms! This recently renovated space houses a large freestanding bath, separate walk-in shower and beautiful bowl sink. All submerged within gorgeous interiors.
A further characterful staircase leads to two further bedrooms. The Blue Room has a wonderful window seat which offers far-reaching views across Pickering, with an additional Velux window which fills the room with light, perfect for stargazing! Equally comfortable Twin beds take centre stage. We also have a z-bed available for an additional guests should this be required (at a small additional cost). Through a joining door you reach the third bedroom - The Pink Room. This beautifully appointed space with exquisite interiors offers further comforts with a king size bed and wonderful, enchanting views across the front of the property. The soft, Farrow & Ball colour palette gives this space a warm, inviting feel.

Please note- Each bedroom comes with Hairdryer, full length, or tabletop mirror, wardrobe/hanging or chest of drawers for storage of clothes.
Venturing outside the Cottage there is a quaint courtyard, which has a lovely rustic bench and seating area to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine into the evening. The courtyard also gains full sun throughout the day. There is also the added benefit of a useful lockable bike store, which is fitted with wall mounted bike racks should you wish to bring your bicycles along with you to enjoy the North Yorkshire countryside on two wheels!

Nine PotterHill Holiday Cottage is child friendly, providing highchair, travel cot, changing mat and child crockery. We also provide a stair gate.
The Cottage is ideal for families or small groups and equally as comfortable for couples wishing to get away together.
We can accept an extra guest with prior notification and a small additional charge. - Z-BED
We also warmly welcome dogs to accompany you on your holiday. We do ask for you to inform us if you wish to bring a dog/s with you to stay within the cottage. Dogs stay for FREE.

Location: THE LOCAL AREA

Nine Potter Hill is extremely centrally located within Pickering. Just a two-minute walk to the North York Moors Railway, along with the town centre, where you will find a lovely selection of local shops, bars, coffee shops, gift shops, banks, PO and supermarkets. Keen walkers will find an array of local walks from the cottage along with many starting just a short drive away.

We are a short distance away from many lovely places to visit including the East Coast- Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Thornton-le-dale; with the cottage lying on the very edge of the North York Moors. (Gateway to the North York Moors). The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is only a 2-minute walk from the cottage and takes you direct to Whitby. Travelling across the beautiful scenic North York Moors. (Dogs can also travel with you at a small additional cost).
We lie a short drive from Eden Camp, Dalby Forest and Flamingo Land. Helmsley (a beautiful market town) is a 20–25-minute drive where you can join the Cleveland Way walking trail, visit Helmsley Castle and the beautiful Walled Garden, or enjoy mooching around the lovely shops. Sutton Bank is only a short drive away and perfect for mountain biking or to watch the Gliders taking off. Idyllic Hovingham, holds an excellent monthly food market along with local weekly markets held at many towns to include Pickering, Helmsley, KirbyMoorside, Thirsk. York is in very close proximity either by car or you can travel on the Coastline bus direct from Pickering.

We are surrounded by wonderful places to dine out here such as in the villages of Olstead and Harome, which are each a short drive away or more locally Pickering hosts an array of lovely eating houses along with take away premises.
