La Petite Longère provides spacious single storey accommodation exclusively for couples, comprising a spacious living room, comprehensively equipped kitchen, along with a double bedroom, shower room and patio with far reaching rural views.

La Petite Longere is entered through a traditional Breton arched doorway which opens into the double height hall featuring the original exposed oak beams we have restored throughout the property. To the left of the hall there is the open plan galley kitchen which has a double oven, 4 ring cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and lots of equipment for self-catering. The deep window cill is ideal for keeping an eye on dinner whilst enjoying a drink! Opposite the kitchen is the dual aspect living room which has french doors opening onto the terrace, it has a dining table & chairs, two sofas, a rocking chair, wood burner and radiator. The flat-screen TV receives UK free-to-air channels, a DVD player and filled book case are also provided.
At the back of the house is the light and airy double bedroom which also has french doors to the terrace, it has plenty of drawer and hanging space, full length mirror, bedside tables and lamps, 2 easy chairs and a radiator. The adjacent shower room has a shower cubicle, wc, basin with mirror, light and power above, towel radiator, cupboard and hair dryer.
Outside the rear patio area has a built-in BBQ and outdoor dining furniture; a couple of zero gravity sun loungers are also available. The uninterrupted rural views from here are magnificent all year round. Raised planters, herbs and fruit bushes edge the terrace; beyond which is an open paddock dotted with oak and cider apple trees.
Plessala has a bar-cafe, a take-away creperie, a small supermarket with good butchers counter and an excellent bakers. There is also a park with a lake and trout fishing. In the immediate area there are several other towns that have regular markets and a good selection of places to eat, as well as seasonal street festivals and brocante stalls.
There is an indoor swimming pool complex in Loudeac and a summer outdoor Lido in La Cheze. The sports centre beside the River Lie has kayaks and cycles for hire and a riding stables in Loudeac Forest organises accompanied pony treks.
At just over an hours drive from St Malo ferry port and Rennes airport, La Petite Longere is an easy to reach holiday destination and a great touring base for this beautiful region where medieval market towns, castles, forests, lakes as well as stunning beaches, fashionable marinas and several golf courses provide attractions for many tastes.
Our home in Brittany is next door to our longère gite, there are separate entrances and private outdoor spaces, meaning we are on-hand to answer questions if required, but we take care not intrude on our guests.
