If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing place to stay but with the convenience of local amenities and wonderful places to visit all within close reach then Gite Magic is the place for you. The Gite sits within the beautiful Charente valley and has been described by previous guests as an "oasis of calm" . The whole accommodation is spacious, light, airy and tastefully furnished. Gite Magic offers the height of luxury for those wanting a very special holiday. it offers 2 bathrooms, a large sunny through lounge/diner and well equipped kitchen (30 sq m). A very spacious (25 sq m) bedroom with ensuite shower has a super king size bed which can be split into 2 singles if required . The living area has 2 double sofas, a large satellite flat screen TV with all the English channels, a huge log burner. the dining area has a dining table with 4 chairs. the kitchen is fully fitted with a fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, built in electric oven and gas hob, with plenty of storage units. The bedroom also has a ceiling fan and mosquito net, bedside tables and lamps and hairdryer with french double doors leading out to the secluded garden and pool. The family bathroom has a corner bath with shower over with mood lighting and light/shaver point, pedestal sink and WC. The en-suite offers large walk in rain shower, WC and small sink. Gite Magic offers 2 private terraces one from the lounge, which is covered and the other leading from the bedroom.
Although the gite sits in a rural location it is within easy reach of commerce and super markets along with fantastic restaurants and some of the most famous and prettiest villages in South West France. Just a 4km drive away - Montmoreau where you will find a good supermarket, pharmacy, petrol station , boulangerie and restaurants. A little further away Chalais (8km) has a buzzing market on Monday mornings along with cafe's, bars and more supermarkets.
The very pretty village of Aubeterre is 18km away where you find yet more restaurants, bars, cafe's and craft shops.

General Liability
Due to the nature of our business, we can accept no responsibility for any loss, injury, death or damage, which might be incurred while staying on site at Gite Magic (Chez Goret).
The owner shall not be liable to the client; for any temporary defect or stoppage of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the property, garden or swimming pool; for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the owners; for any loss¸ damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the owner shall, within seven days of notification to the client, refund the client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.

Limit of Liability
Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period

We have a no smoking policy and request that this be adhered to at all times
The pool will be available from May

Under no circumstances can there be any other occupants at the gite only those stated on the booking form are allowed to stay at the property booked, our grounds are for booked guests only.
We, the owners reserve the right to enter the property at a convenient/reasonable time to carry out any repairs deemed necessary. Please let us know as soon as possible if you should find anything which is not working.

Payment
We ask for a non refundable 25% deposit of the full rental cost at the time of booking to confirm your stay with us. We allow a period of seven days for this payment to be received and cleared. The remainder of the balance will be due 60 days prior to the commencement of your holiday. Payment can be made by online banking or by bank transfer. We will provide our banking details at time of booking.
Reservations made within the 60 days of the start of your stay we will require the full balance at time of booking.

If the full balance is not received and cleared 60 days prior to the start of your holiday we will aim to contact you to request payment should this be unsuccessful and no payment received we have the right to cancel your booking and re-let the property.
By confirming your booking with your deposit you agree to adhere to our terms & conditions
Security deposit100 euros payable in cash upon arrival refunded at the end of stay providing there has been no damage or breakages (accommodation will be checked by us prior to your checking out of the property)
*****Tourist Tax is applied at a rate of 2% of the per person per night price to a
maximum of € 1.50 per adult per night.
