Gite Skippy sits within the beautiful Charente valley. The gite offers luxurious spacious accommodation there is a well equipped kitchen diner with stairs which lead up to the light airy lounge which has dual aspect windows which look out to the beautiful Charente valley and views over the pool, there are also patio doors which lead onto a small balcony providing further views over the country side. There is a flat screen TV providing all the English channels. From the kitchen there are double doors which lead on to your own private patio and another door which leads to a path where you can access the pool which can be rented for your own exclusive use - (see prices) and spacious secluded gardens. From the kitchen you can access the ground floor double bedroom which has its own flat screen TV providing all the English channels, bedside cabinets, dressing table and drawers along with hanging space for clothes. From the bedroom there is a very modern luxury en-suite providing double rain & massage showers art deco washbasins & WC From the ensuite shower room you have access to the private indoor two person jacuzzi spa room and separate toilet, The jacuzzi room can also be accessed from the path which runs alongside the gite and the pool. The gite offers luxurious very quiet accommodation, perfect for a romantic getaway or just a relaxing break with easy access to commerce and all the tourist attractions this beautiful area has to offer. The gite can be rented out alongside our other gite - Gite Magic (approximately 60 metres apart so totally private) if you are a group of 4 wanting to holiday together but wish to have your own separate accommodation on the same site
The Gite is just a 4km drive away from local commerce - Montmoreau where you will find a good supermarket, pharmacy, petrol station , boulangerie and restaurants. A little further away Chalais (8km) has a buzzing market on Monday mornings along with cafe's, bars and more supermarkets.
The very pretty village of Aubeterre is 18km away where you find more restaurants, bars, cafe's and craft shops.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of spending time in the Skippy gite for 1 week whilst we were house hunting.

I have to say this was one of the most beautiful places that we have ever had the pleasure to stay in, the accommodation had absolutely everything we needed and more, the surroundings were spectacular and very peaceful and the hosts, David & Diana were amazing.

I would have no hesitation on giving them and the accommodation 10 out of 10, they have the most amazing gites, David & Diana have also helped us so much with our move to France, we can’t thank them enough, we feel like we have known them for years and will stay in touch with them forever.

Thank you both for making our first time in France so brilliant and for all of your help and support, we could not have asked for more, I know that you will be flooded with bookings once word get’s out and rightly so!
