Located in the Pretty Conservation Area of Poole OLD Town, just a 5 minute walk to the Poole Quay. It also benefits from it’s own private driveway (parking for 1 medium sized car) If you have a large car, or want to bring a 2nd car, the council car park is just a 2 minute walk away, located on CASTLE Street. The Cottage also benefits from 2 outside spaces. A private courtyard garden, ideal for alfresco dining - plus its own roof terrace located off the master bedroom, ideal for soaking up the sun, or enjoying your morning coffee!
DOGS - If would like to bring your Dog, please message me first before booking the Cottage, with the details. We do not mind at all, but we would like to agree this first before the booking is confirmed. Dogs are not permitted in the 1st and 2nd floor bedrooms.
PLEASE NOTE - You are really stepping back in time, when you enter this charming Grade II Listed property… Both staircases are small & steep - Not suitable for the elderly, anyone with restricted mobility, or infants / young children. Pickwick Cottage is not furnished with any baby facilities.
Pickwick Cottage in Poole Harbour is a charming Grade II Listed example of early Georgian architecture, that oozes character, within walking distance to Hamworthy Beach & Park. It is a truly unique property with amazing Guest Reviews!
The cottage has a boutique hotel feel, but offers all the benefits of self-catering - If you enjoy entertaining with friends and family, or simply kicking off your shoes and relaxing when you're staying away.
On the ground floor this stunning Cottage consist's of a living room with many original features. Also on this floor you will also find a fully fitted modern kitchen with a full complement of crockery, utensils, a microwave, a kettle, a coffee machine & a toaster. Also on the ground floor you will find the WC and a large separate shower room. Off the kitchen are French Doors, leading out to a delightful courtyard garden with table and chairs, ideal for alfresco dining, or just soaking up the Sun - The 1st floor is accessed by an original spiral staircase , which takes you into the master bedroom, which is equipped with a King Size Bed. The real bonus with the Master Bedroom is a door that leads out onto your own Private Roof Terrace, so you can top up your tan, or chill out having your morning coffee - TheTop Floor Bedroom is accessed through the Master Bedroom by a 2nd spiral staircase - A door is located at the bottom of this 2nd staircase, for your privacy on both floors - This stunning top floor bedroom will really take you back in time! It has sash windows at the front and rear and is fitted out with 2 single beds.
Pickwick Cottage is in the heart of the conservation area so parking is very limited - But the Cottage benefits from it's own private driveway, with parking for ONE medium size car. If you feel that the driveway is a little small for your car, or you want to bring more than one car - the council car park is only a 2 Minute Walk Away, located in CASTLE STREET.
The guests have full use of 2 TV’s & unlimited WIFI.
Pickwick Cottage is available for weekend breaks, short breaks and longer summer holidays. It is a perfect for a romantic getaway, or a newly wedded couple, or those very important FAMILY holiday's...

Stunning Cottage
By Toni on 01-Oct-2023What can we say apart from wow what a stunning cottage in a beautiful location. Easy to find great parking. The cottage was spotless really felt like home. Decorated beautifully from top to bottom. The welcoming gifts were so thoughtful and delicious. Our Cockerpoo was really excited with his toys thank you Bentley and Julian from Kobie . It was all the little touches too great equipped kitchen fantastic shower and bathroom. Beautiful patios. Living room stunning so cosy. And bedrooms fabulous beds were so comfortable and loved way decorated and the beautiful bedding. Julian has been great with lots of information about the house and restaurants especially with Kobie. Pickwick Cottage is in such a beautiful position close to everything pubs restaurants and quayside plus a beach and Sandbanks was lovely too. What more can I say we loved it that much day after we arrived we booked again for next April. Thank you Julian, Amanda and Bentley for a fantastic little holiday
Wonderful Stay

A Quaint Cottage

Communication with Julian (the owner) prior to our nine night stay was responded to quickly - and we really appreciated his various recommendations for places to eat. Julian provided us with a small welcome hamper that was a nice touch. The cottage was immaculately clean, with its own parking space and literally just two minutes’ walk from the Quay - and even closer to a Sainsburys Local store that was open from 7-11pm daily…….. what more could anyone want ? We will certainly book this cottage again.
Beautiful Cottage
By Paul on 01-May-2023Beautiful cottage in the heart of Poole town centre, dozens of restaurants of all cuisines within a short walk. The cottage itself was as stunning as the photos and had all modern comforts to make the stay really special. Julian was a great host with lots of proactive contact and clear instructions pre arrival and in the instructions left at the cottage, we arrived to a lovely welcome basket which meant we could relax before doing a shop, there’s a Sainsbury’s local within 100m on the High street or your choice of Super Markets on the way into town. This was a perfect few days away and I would highly recommend Pickwick Cottage and the town of Poole.
