Description
This is a unique property sitting on the cliffs above Porthcothan Bay, which is a lifeguarded beach. There are 4 bedrooms, all en-suite, plus a day-bed in the sun room. There are stunning sea views from the kitchen, dining room, lounge and one of the bedrooms, which has its own private balcony. The other bedrooms are downstairs and have views of the sea through the garden and foliage. There is a path from the garden to the beach, which is approx 50 yards away.
Dolphin House was designed as an 'Upside Down House' to make the most of the views from the living areas. From the drive, (which has parking for up to 4 cars with extra on the lane if needed), you enter the house into a small lobby. Off this there is a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier (which can also be accessed from the balcony), and a sun-room with a day bed which can be used as an extra place for someone to sleep if needed. Then into the large open-plan lounge/dining room/kitchen. It is a really sociable space, but is large enough for you to escape to the lounge if peace and quiet is required! Or you can sit in the comfortable leather chair by the window and just watch the ocean.
There is one fully adapted wheelchair friendly room with large disabled-access bathroom on the main floor off the lounge, and downstairs there are 3 other en-suite bedrooms.
All of the downstairs rooms have twin 3-foot beds, which can be linked to make SuperKing beds. Two of these bedrooms have large glass shower cubicles in the en-suites, and one of them has a bath with overhead shower. One of these bedrooms has patio doors with direct access to the garden.
Pillows and duvets are provided, but we do not provide bed linen or towels.
