Description
The Willows is situated in Chillerton village, this beautiful 1 bedroom bungalow will sleep up to 2 guests. The accommodation comprises of a comfortable lounge/diner with French doors leading to garden, fully fitted kitchen, double bedroom, and shower room.The lovely garden with garden furniture has a natural spring running along the bottom. There is also many foot/cycle paths to explore the lovely countryside one of which takes you to a friendly pub serving delicious meals in the village of Shorwell.
Newport town centre of the Island is just under 4 miles with a variety of shops, restaurants, takeaways, multi-cinema complex and 2 theatres Medina and Apollo. Carisbrooke Castle is also nearby which is full of history and where you can meet the castles resident donkeys who have been drawing up water from the well-house for hundreds of years.
The Willows benefits from parking and is the ideal bungalow for a lovely relaxing holiday.

The Willows
By Alison on 26-May-2026Our host helped us settle in well and we had all we needed in the home. It was in a good location for driving to attractions, and very quiet. We did struggle with going in and out of the property but had mastered backing down the drive by the end! Nice area to sit outside (very private with duck, pheasant and pigeon wondering by.
Great location for exploring the island.

Peaceful break
By Sandra on 16-Sep-2019This is a lovely property in a quiet woodland setting. It is in the centre of the island yet still handy for places all around the island. Very comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything you could want on hand. Muriel and Michael were lovely and very helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay there and just wish it could have been longer.
Just what we needed
By David on 03-Aug-2020This was our first time on the Isle of Wight for 15 years, and we wanted a base accessible to all parts of the island. The Willows was just the job. The accommodation was very comfortable, and we very much enjoyed our stay. The only real negative is not within the owner's control. To get to the lane where the property is you have to cross a narrow ford, which it is virtually impossible to do in a car without scraping the front bumper. Thankfully, we were mostly going out on our tandem, when it was not such a problem!
A comfortable bungalow in a quiet location.
By Timothy on 24-May-2021An enjoyable week in this one bedroom bungalow in a beautiful rural location, with lots of walks around the area and easy access to Newport. The owners were very welcoming and quick to resolve any issues. The bungalow was well appointed and comfortable with more than adequate heating . A pretty garden with nesting birds and a red squirrel visiting each day. Some work on a new patio is in progress but did not distract from the overall enjoyment of this rural location.
A peaceful retreat in a central location on the island.
By Lynne on 21-Jun-2022The bungalow is ideal for 2 people. It is well equipped, very clean and comfortable. We think a little bit of updating is needed in some areas. There is convenient parking just outside on the driveway. Muriel and Michael the owners are next door and are friendly hosts. They are there with help and information but not interfering. Outside is a lovely garden with a sitting area in the afternoon sun at the end of a long day out. There is lots of bird life and red squirrels visiting the garden several times a day. The location is great for driving to different areas of the island in a short time. The community pub the Gallybaggers in Chillerton is within easy walking distance and has a great quiz once a month.
