Stone cottage in the heart of the La Creuse countyside offering breath taking views and a step back in time.

The area of La Creuse in the region of Limousin known best for its lakes, and there are many to visit, offering water sports, fishing, and beaches. Larger lake have live music evenings, offering bars and food trucks. If you like a quieter pace this area is perfect for walks, bird watching and those who are a little more energetic will love the cycle the tracks in the forests and around the quiet country lanes. This property offers its own woodland to explore. The nearest town is a five minute drive offering a well stocked Grocery store, Bakery, Bar Restaurant and Pharmacy. The food speciality include Creusois Hazelnut cake, Limousin Chicken pate and the vegan Galetou. The traditional Potato pie and Creusois Fondue are a must. Geuret 6 is miles away offering a variety of resturants, shops, traditional market square and formal gardens and museums. Local attractions consist of Foret de Chabrieres, Labyrinth Geant des Monts de Gueret, Lake de Courtille, L Autorail Creusois, The Wolves of Chabrieres and Foret Follies all these attractions are within a max 45 minute drive. Oradour-sur-Glane: Martyred Village is 1.5 hours drive away and is a must for those interested in history.

Cottage has front and rear access into an open plan kitchen diner. The open hallway gives access to toilet and shower room and the living room area. The stairs is located off the hallway taking you up to a landing with window leading to two bedrooms, one double and the other twin.

The property offers a retreat away from home with all the home comforts you would expect. Kitchen has sink with hot and cold water and draining board. Microwave, airfryer, electric hob, washing machine, electric kettle and fridge freezer. Crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, glassware, cookware, coffee pot and tea towels. Downstairs shower room with fixed head and handset shower heads, countertop basin and wc. Double bedroom has a double bedstead and chest of drawers, with mirror and hairdryer. Twin room has two single beds. One double and two single duvets and four pillows available. Outside comprises grassed garden and 4 garden chairs and folding outside table, and sun canopy. There are also outside festoon lights if required.

Our neighbour next door will be available with notice of your arrival and departure. They are both English and French speakers. They will also be available to help you in any way that they can.
