Description
This charming property is situated in the small sleepy hamlet of St Laurent, which has a couple of farmhouses and a church and is set in the pretty countryside of the Lot, South West France.The property is within walking distance (1 km) to a small village which has a café/bar and is about 7 kms from the medieval Bastide town of Lauzerte, which has a supermarket, bank, bakers, small shops, restaurants and a weekly market. In the peak season there are regular musical events in the square.
The property is also about 8 km from Montcuq which is a popular lively village with restaurants, a large swimming lake with a beach and local shops and a popular, busy Sunday morning market.
It is in an ideal location for exploring traditional French villages with local excellent cuisine and good wines from the Cahors vineyards.
If you are looking to relax the area is quiet and peaceful, perfect for country walks - it's situated on the pilgrims' route, Santiago de Compostela - or just lazing in the sun by the swimming pool.

A lovely stay
By Lisa on 07-Jul-2023We had a lovely stay including two dogs and everything looked as on the pictures. Neighborhood is quiet, so you can fully relax. next place to shop grocery/visit city is Lauzerte with approx 10 min car drive.
Beautiful Area

Excellent Stay
By Cecile on 29-Aug-2025Excellent stay, the house is very comfortable with everything you need in the kitchen. The bathrooms are simple, the taps are little old but nothing serious. The beds are good and the rooms are spacious with plenty of storage. The place is very beautiful with nice walks, or runs. The pool is good, the enclosed garden is convenient with a dog. The village of Lauzerte, which is 7km away, is a marvel. Otherwise all activities are 30-45 minutes by car so take into account if you want to kayak or sightseeing because the roads are narrow with turns. Lots of vineyard tours within 30 minutes, which we recommend because the local wine is quite interesting (Malbec). Ian gave good restaurant recommendations. We’ll be back!
Lovely gite in a beautiful setting

Well equipped & comfortable. Lovely pool. Well located for Lauzerte, Montcuq & Cahors. Recommend the swimming lake at Montcuq if staying with children, & the Sunday market there was great. A really good holiday house. Highly recommend.
Good house and pool to enjoy area near lauzerte
By Selina and richard Horncastle, on 06-Jul-2024We thoroughly enjoyed staying st le cerisiers. The area between the lot and tarn is lovely with great medieval villages and countryside. The house was well equipped and comfortable and had an excellent pool. The house manager was helpful.
