This house is clearly a loving family home. Whoever did the conversion some years back has thoughtfully made the most of the attractive internal space and it was with ease and pleasure that we stayed here for 4 weeks in June/July 2021. This is a house that has everything you could possibly need. It has a charming garden and heated pool, all very tranquil and secluded. Both the owner and the local managers who look after the place are easily accessible and very helpful. The house is near Montcuq, which has long been one of my favourite places especially on Sunday morning with its fulsome market. L'Ecole Restaurant at St Daunes is recommended. Thank you, Ian!
We stayed here for 2 weeks in August, Ian is a very helpful host and was easy to get hold of before we went. Luckily we didnt need to contact him whilst we were away as everything was perfect. The house was spotlessly clean, even no dust or cobwebs (phew). The kitchen is well stocked and the house has lots of board games stored away and English TV if you need it. The pool is amazing!!!! When we booked, there wasnt really a picture of the pool so we didnt know what to expect, Ian, if you havent already, you should definately get another picture of your pool put on here. It was perfect, the sides were slanted at the deep end so if you find yourself in trouble you can swim to the side and are able to stand again, it has 3 large walk in steps to the pool which was perfect for our 2 year old, he could sit and play in the pool and actually be able to stand up at that part.. the pool lining is soft, so if you unfortunately fall (our eldest is a like a bull in a China shop), it does hurt so much. And it was fenced off from the rest of the garden. The fact that the pool is heated made a huge difference to us, this is the 1st time we've had a heated pool and its definately something that will draw us in in the future, we used it alot more. The area is beautiful and quiet, lots of lovely countryside to walk around and enjoy. only 15 mins from nearest supermarket. I highly recommend this property to and family wishing to holiday in this area of France.
