Description
Relax with family and friends in the spacious Master’s House of the former sausage factory, packed with authentic features and architecture. The four large bedrooms comfortably sleep 8 adults (2 x king doubles or twins, 1 x queen double, and 1 x valet double with ensuite shower and toilet) and 4 children (bunk beds) or a mix.You will have a well equipped kitchen for tasty homemade meals either in your dining room or at the huge (and impressive) outdoor table. A cosy TV lounge comfortably accommodates all guests and the newly refurbished spacious bathroom has walk-in rain shower, separate bath and double basin.
Guests also enjoy the large private south facing garden and gravel patio with huge table, BBQ and terrace with exterior seating.

Shared facilities with the other gites include 'Le Petit Cochon' honour bar with local beers and wines, pool and darts; and in the gardens giant chess, petanque, trampoline, swings and slides, football pitch, and 5 acres of grounds to enjoy and relax in.
We have some free weights, yoga mats, and for the more adventurous cycle hire, featuring new mountain bikes, my classic racer(!) and a hand-built tandem for those who love a challenge.
The village is a short walk (half mile) away, with small local store, bar and Sunday market.
The popular Espace Hermeline just 3 miles away has swimming lake, sports pitches, zip line, mini-golf amongst others.
Further afield are markets, chateaux, and the impressive towns and villages of the Perigord.
We are located in the Perigord Vert, Dordogne, equidistant between Limoges and Perigueux.
- It is a 7 hour drive (plus stops) from Calais.
- There are daily flights from the UK to Limoges Airport with multiple car hire options (40mins drive to La Saucisserie) .
- Or for a more relaxed and sustainable journey take the train, just over 3 hours to Limoges after an easy change in Paris. Then hire a car in Limoges or take the local train to us - we are just 3 miles from the local stations.
Check in is from 16.00 (although we can try to accommodate an earlier check in if possible - just ask).
Check out by 10.00 please.
We ask for a €100 deposit (per week per gite) to secure the booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival.
There is also a Tourist Tax which is currently €2.50 per adult per night, payable with the balance or when you arrive.

Autumn Break
By Ilanit Rose on 15-Oct-2025Just back from an amazing time at La Saucisserie Gites. James, Kate and Emily are brilliant hosts and very accommodating. It’s a great place in a beautiful location. Equally good for both cycling and walking activities as well as a relaxing break enjoying the local area. We will definitely be back.
Relaxing Time in the Countryside
By Frank Brady on 01-May-2025A lovely relaxing stay in the quiet countryside. The grounds are full of things to do including the heated pool, perfect for families or groups of friends. The surrounding area is beautiful to walk around and at night you get amazing views of the stars. The small bar is well stocked with local beers and wines along with a pool table and darts in great condition. The hosts James and Kate are so friendly and welcoming - I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a country holiday!
First Class Experience

The surrounding views are idyllic and can be enjoyed while relaxing in the grounds; playing a game of outdoor chess or sitting with a drink from the well stocked bar. Thank you James and Kate, we will definitely be back.

Fantastic Location

Fantastic location with stunning views, walks, activities, and plenty to do around the house. The pool area was great to lounge around in the sun alongside lots of outdoor activities (e.g. football, chess, archery). Would highly recommend visiting!!
