An amazing place to stay
By Janet pomeroy on 06-Sep-2025Our stay at Orchid house was absolutely lovely. Great views, comfortable furnishings and beds. Easy walk into town for everything you need. We had a very relaxing stay, ideal place to unwind and switch off for a few days.
An oasis of peace

The most appealing feature is the splendid view and being close to Salcombe High Street without being overcome by the noise and chatter of the town itself. There is, unfortunately, more and more building work going on but Orchid Cottage remains undisturbed. We very much hope to return.
Salcombe stay
By Lucy on 01-May-2025We luckily got fabulous weather on this short break in Salcombe. Orchid house is comfortable, well equipped, central and with its own parking space...a Godsend in Salcombe. The estuary view is superb. We shall no doubt book again in the future!. One annoyance though, workmen were chatting and using sanding equipment directly outside the house door from 8 am though kindly stopped when asked to!

We visited all the surrounding areas and local pubs and restaurants which were all good and value for money especially Bistro 73 (Salcombe Coffee House) serving great local produce. We would definitely stay here again and recomend it to family and friends. Thanks to Heather &Rory .
Perfect location, stunning view, very comfortable
By Rose R on 09-Sep-2016I loved being able to walk into the living room and see the entire Harbour from the comfort of the sofa! The house is incredibly clean, comfortable and well-equipped and just moments away from the centre of Salcombe; we rarely used our car as everything was so close. I would thoroughly recommend this property and hope to stay here again next year.
