Nestled in the side of the valley we are surrounded only by open moor, woodland, and pasture. All that Dartmoor has to offer is on your doorstep. Be your preference sitting back in the garden relaxing with a glass of wine, trekking on horseback across the moors, walking, golfing, days at the beach, off-road cycling or fishing, all is close by.
The nearby market town of Tavistock is charming, with an eclectic mix of boutique shops, restaurants, pubs and a daily pannier market.
Our location close to the border of Devon and Cornwall is perfectly suited to exploring the area's countryside, lovely beaches and historic places.
Huckworthy
Sleeps 2 (+ cot), open plan kitchen/dining area and sitting area with three steps leading down to the bedroom and then up to the en-suite bathroom.
Taking it’s name from the nearby bridge over the Walkham river, Huckworthy is a truly idyllic couple’s retreat. Granite steps lead you up to the front door and private garden area, with views down the valley.
Designed for two, Huckworthy offers a light and spacious open plan living room with a large comfy sofa and wood burner. The fully equipped and stylish kitchen with adjacent dining area has all you need for long lazy lunches and romantic suppers. Three steps lead you down to the bedroom with a king size bed, and another three take you up to a sparkling and contemporary bathroom with a bath and a separate rainfall shower.

Please note that there are several slightly uneven stone steps leading up to the cottage door and there is a small slope leading up to the garden table and chairs, therefore this cottage may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.
The cottage is dog-friendly (one dog over the age of two).
Smoking is not allowed in the cottage.
Highchair and travel cot are available upon request.
Parties, hen dos or stag dos are not permitted in our cottages.
The cottage has a private water supply that is regularly tested.
Please note that the lanes around us are quite narrow sometimes with very few passing places.
