Overview
Description
This charming single storey, spacious cottage has been tastefully converted from a traditional 18th century milking parlour. Situated down a narrow country lane with views overlooking fields, the cottage has a large, enclosed garden facing west and enjoys full sunshine all day. Visitors also have full use of a further acre which is beautifully landscaped with an orchard and herbaceous borders. The cottage has its own drive and plenty of off road parking. The interior is tastefully furnished with both modern and antique furniture and the paintings are either from Penny's studio or by her friends. The sitting room has two comfy settees, a cosy wood burner and French windows opening out onto a terrace with lovely views. The spacious kitchen/diner is open plan with ample crockery and cooking equipment. The bedrooms and bathroom are large and stylish and the whole building has a Mediterranean atmosphere of space, warmth and tranquillity. A well behaved dog is welcome. Outside there is a patio with barbeque and the well maintained garden has a lawn smooth enough for a game of croquet which, along with tennis racquets and surf boards are all in the little garden shed.Penny is a working artist and has her studio at Tregonebris where she paints and sells her work. Visitors are welcome to call in and browse.

We Shall See You Again
By Vicky Houghton on 24-May-2024June 2024 Dairy Cottage was once again, everything we could ask for in a cosy retreat. A perfect garden for flying Eric's brand new spiroceptors!! Paradise for children
By Anna Briscoe on 30-Aug-2023Our third visit to Dairy Cottage, and hopefully not our last! The cottage is beautiful and the garden an absolute gem - especially for children. The words of our oldest probably indicate how much of a treasure this place is for families (not least, because of Penny and Simon''s thoughtfulness as hosts): "The garden is so big and great to explore. We can''t wait until we come to stay again!" (Emily, age 7) Anna, Exeter Aug 2023
Perfect Position
By Sarah Lister on 30-Jun-2023We have just returned after a weeks stay in Dairy cottage which is a lovely well equipped cottage full of charm and has everything you would ever need. The setting is perfect, with quiet and relaxing surroundings and the added bonus of the beautiful large garden to use when you want. The situation is perfect for exploring the area with beaches and walks and places to visit all within easy reach. Penny and Simon are very welcoming hosts and and have much knowledge of Cornwall and the area. We will definitely return next year. Sarah, Soham Jun 2023
Repeat Visits to Dairy Cottage
By Megan, London on 20-Aug-2022This was our second trip to dairy cottage with our dog but the first trip with our daughter Lola. We just knew it was the perfect place for a family holiday. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable weeks stay. Penny also provided us with a high chair and camp cot which was brilliant. We could hardly get our daughter and dog out of the big garden that the cottage uses. It is a slice of absolutely heaven and definitely going to be an annual holiday for us if there''s space! Wonderful Week in Dairy Cottage
By Stephanie, Glastonbury on 16-Apr-2022We''ve just had a wonderful week staying at Dairy Cottage. The cottage has lovely rustic charm, the large garden is wonderful (great for an energetic dog and children) and Penny and Simon were very relaxed and welcoming. We stayed over Easter and the garden was perfect for an Easter Egg hunt, amongst the daffodils and blossom in the orchard! The cottage is also excellently situated for exploring the Penwith region and its peninsula - though the local walks are also worth making time for. There are a surprising number of ancient sites within close proximity to the cottage. We hope to return. Stephanie, Glastonbury Apr 2022
