The village of Sancreed is in the Lands End peninsular and so is only a few miles from the expansive surf beach of Sennen on the north coast of Cornwall, yet it is also close to the sheltered coves of Porthcurno, Lamorna and Mousehole on the south coast. The Minack Theatre and St Michaels Mount are both located a few miles away. The fishing port of Newlyn with its vibrant harbour is just three miles away whilst the thriving market towns of Penzance and St Just are close by. St Ives is only a short drive away and is famous for the large artist's community and sandy beaches. For trips further afield Lands End airport flies regularly to the Scilly Isles. The village of Sancreed is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty making it a popular destination for walkers. The Holy Well, the Beacon, a stone circle and an Iron Age village are all within walking distance of the cottage. Guests enjoy the tranquillity of a cottage which is only a stone's throw from so many holiday activities.

By Patricia on 27-Sep-2025Charming characteristic property, fantastic views of the surrounding area and loads of walks straight from the cottage - great for the dogs. Warm and cosy, front facing-sunshine pours in during the day. We had a great time. Thank you Lyndsay

By Christian & Family on 12-Jul-2025“Thank you for the most wonderful stay in your charming farmhouse.” We have had a fantastic week visiting beautiful beaches, villages, standing stones etc. Fabulous coastal walking from Porthgwarra towards Lands End – we saw lots of seals! We would love to return. Many thanks again – its been dreamy!
"Nestled in the rural village of Sancreed, Newington Cottage is home from home but one that holds a very special secret."
By Tina & Rob on 15-Jul-2025"Nestled in the rural village of Sancreed, Newington Cottage is home from home but one that holds a very special secret." It has a quintessential charm that works its magic from the minute you step inside. From the art work dotted about to the magnificent wood burner. From the vast array of books and games, to the culinary essentials. You won’t want to leave the cottage … but you must if you want to experience the real Cornwall. West Penwith is as far west as you can go, a true Cornish delight. With its hidden coves, perfect for snorkelling, to coastal paths that are made for rambling. There are Neolithic stone circles and a Holy Well to visit, as well as pretty fishing villages steeped in history. This is our eighth visit and we cannot recommend it enough, although part of us would very much like to keep it a secret! Thanks for another amazing stay. Tina & Rob July 2025
"Fab house in a great location"
By Yvonne on 30-Apr-2025Fab house in a great location We had the best time in the farmhouse. The location was superb, so many amazing places to visit within a 15 min drive of the property. The weather was mixed but on the rainy days we had plenty of entertainment options with all the different games provided in the house.
"Comfortable ,well appointed house that is handy for all the interesting places around Southern Cornwall."
By Mike &Family on 06-Oct-2024"Comfortable ,well appointed house that is handy for all the interesting places around Sothern Cornwall." Despite being tucked away in a delightful rural setting, the supermarkets of Penzance are only five minutes away , and you can watch sunrise over Mount's Bay from the bedroom windows. Great base for a thoroughly enjoyable week.
