Leave ReviewHad a lovely time
By Gillian Buchanan on 10-Jul-2025My mother and I stayed in Flint Cottage, which is beautifully decorated and appointed. There is plenty of storage in each room and an abundance of cutlery, glasses, dishes and everything you could need. The owner came at once when we had a problem with the dvd player but I would suggest looking into Freesat as there are relatively few channels available in Saxmundham on Freeview, and the ones my mother likes to watch were not available on the television. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Altogether we had a lovely time and will stay there again. Many thanks for a lovely experience. Trip typeHoliday · Family Rooms5.0Service5.0Location5.0 Hotel highlightsQuiet RoomsSpotlessly clean, plenty of storage, comfortable beds. Nearby activitiesTesco and Waitrose close at hand for food, plenty of other shops nearby. Just along the road from Saxmundham railway station. SafetyNo need to cook in the cottage though you can if you want to. It's a bungalow so no stairs and no steps anywhere. WalkabilityEasy. My mother uses a 3 wheeled rollator walker and I use a stick. Food and drinksThe cottage is self catering, but there are two big supermarkets and plenty of restaurants and eateries nearby. Noteworthy detailsSuitable for people with walking difficulties and with pets though owner prefers that pets do not go on the furniture.

Flint Cottage - Wish I could have stayed longer
By Robert H on 05-Nov-2022Returned for a short break after a hectic time at work. Has been given a slight face lift since my last stay - modern, bright and impeccably clean throughout but still in keeping with the original cottage. Lovely new modern kitchen and bathroom, fully equipped with all mod cons - a real home from home feel. Bedrooms super comfortable and have been very tastefully redecorated. As before, local pubs, restaurants, take-aways and supermarkets in easy walking distance so everything feels very convenient. Only stayed one week, but so peaceful and relaxing I wished I could have stayed longer.
