Seahouses is situated on the Northumberland coast about 15 miles North-East of Alnwick between the beautiful Villages of Beadnell and Bamburgh. It is a popular seaside holiday resort that has a bustling harbour from which you can rent a boat and trip to the Farne Islands where you will get dive bombed by terns on Inner Farne and encounter curious grey seals that make up one of the country’s largest colonies. You can take in the sights of Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island. Seahouses is a fishing village and visitors are welcomed at The Fisherman’s Kitchen where historic fishing memorabilia and curios are displayed alongside the local catch of the day.
Putt away at crazy golf, take your newly purchased fishing nets and buckets and spades and go rock pooling, or ftake a horse ride along Seahouses’ sands. Seahouses is known to many as 'The Gateway to the Farne Islands' and is a very popular place with both locals and visitors. It is probably the most popular holiday resort on the Coast due to it's excellent amenities and attracts huge numbers of visitors throughout the year.
Seahouses is easy to access by car and has several large car parks. If you are visiting off peak or arriving early then the best car park is right on the sea front, just off the main road. This does get full extremely quickly though and there is additional parking on the harbour wall itself and behind the public toilets and Tourist Information Centre in the Town.
