Wow. Swallow barn - One of the best we've stayed in.
By Wendy S on 11-Jan-2020My family and I stayed at Swallow Barn for New Year and had a fantastic week together. We found the property very homely and clean with everything we needed. We enjoyed having fires in the log burner whilst playing games and having some quality time. The property is ideally located with wonderful views and is only a short drive to several large supermarkets. Our dog also had the pleasure of being at the property with us and enjoyed his holiday in large garden which was secure for him to play. We enjoyed days out on a boat at Lake Windermere and a hike at Helvellyn which had breathtaking views, well worth a visit! We are a family who have travelled and hired various properties in various countries over the years and we found Swallow Barn to be one of the best. Thank you Ahmad and Andrea for letting us have the opportunity of staying and being fantastic from initial booking right through to the end of our stay. We highly recommend staying at Swallow Barn and hope to return sometime in the future. Wendy S and FamilyÂ

The barn is amazing, tastefully converted and decorated
By Mark & Dawn -Nottingham on 29-Aug-2015We recently returned from a 6 night stay at Swallow Barn. The barn is a amazing, tastefully converted and decorated with some of the original features still in place. It is well equipt, very clean and well maintained to a very high standard. The garden is well kept and a lovely retreat in the evening after the days adventures. It is situated a short drive from the local town amenities but far enough out to be situated in the countryside with amazing views of the valleys. We liked the fact that it was very quite and private and had great views from all sides. The lakes are within easy driving distance and we would recommend a drive to Ullswater for see the Aira Force waterfalls. The owners were very good at keeping us updated with arrival information prior to the visit, they are very accommodating of any requests. We are looking forward to staying in Swallow Barn again and will be recommending to family and friends. Thank you Mr & Mrs Saumtally.
