The space
The stone walled garden surrounding this XVI century fisherman's cottage is 7 miles from Penzance and only 20 minutes walk from Lands End and overlooks the Headlands and Bay of Sennen. It is within 2 minutes walk of the beach.
It has been completely renovated to a high standard as my country home for the last 30 years, so that guests may enjoy meals in the garden in summer or BBQs on the stone terraces, or just listen to the waves at night from the bedrooms.
In winter just sit in the deep seated sofas in front of the open fire and watch the Atlantic waves.
The pub and local provisions shop are a few minutes away as is the Beach Cafe.
The entire scenic area has spectacular cliff top walks with local villages and shops providing fresh food less than 3 miles away.
The world famous cliff top Minack Theatre is a 10 minute drive with weekly productions throughout the season.
Further afield, but within easy driving distance are famous towns such as St Ives, Truro and the Eden Project. These together the with Helford River, it's waterside pubs and restaurants and St Mawes, a ferry boat ride from Falmouth with the Castle and many fine cafes, are great places to visit when not lying on one of the many surrounding beaches at Sennen or surfing off the beach below the cottage.
There is a daily flight to the Isles of Scilly from the local airfield.
The cottage is only let on a weekly basis in High Season (Sunday - Sunday) and for a minimum of 4 days in Low Season.
Bed Linen, towels, Tea Towels etc are NOT provided. Please bring your own.
Dogs are welcome at an extra charge.

Perfect Cornwall Retreat
By Rachel Knight on 29-Dec-2020This fishermans cottage is in a stunning location and in its own oasis of calm once you step through the wooden gate into the garden. There are beautiful views across Sennen Cove and even in the harshest of weather it is still wonderful to look out on. The cottage itself is cosy and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner was on hand before and during our stay to answer any questions and ensure everything was ok for us. We all loved our stay at Surf Cottage and will be sure to return again in the future.
