Sitting pretty at the edge of Mocketts Farm, the lovely Fleet Lodge holiday cottage take in wide countryside views stretching to the Swale estuary.With its characterful arched windows and rustic brickwork, Fleet Lodge blends traditional charm with light-filled interiors and a relaxed, open-plan layout. The sociable living space is ideal for families or friends, with a fully equipped kitchen, generous dining area, and a comfy lounge for slow mornings or cosy evenings in.
A large open plan kitchen, dining and living area forms the social hub for the cottage. Whether you’re chatting over a morning coffee, sharing a meal around the generous dining table, or winding down in front of the TV, there’s space to come together without feeling crowded. Rustic woods, honey-stone walls and charming simplicity give Fleet Lodge its country cottage soul, while thoughtful touches ensure comfort throughout.
Upstairs are three comfortable bedrooms, all of which can be arranged as doubles or twins to suit your group. One has its own ensuite, while the other two share a bathroom. Downstairs, a handy WC completes the layout. Whether it’s family or friends, the flexible setup means everyone can enjoy both time together and space of their own.
Step outside and take in the peaceful surroundings from your private patio, complete with sun loungers, BBQ fire pit and outdoor furniture. You’ll also have access to the shared games room – ideal for a rainy afternoon or some light-hearted competition. And for dog owners, the two-acre onsite exercise paddock* if free to use throughout your stay.
A short walk away, The Ferry House restaurant serves up homegrown and locally foraged fare. Fleet Lodge offers the best of both worlds – peaceful seclusion in nature, and the perfect base to explore the coast and countryside of Kent. Just a short stroll from the cottage, our 2AA Rosette restaurant, The Ferry House, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with views over the Swale estuary. It’s dog-friendly, with private dining available for groups. Pre-booking is essential, as opening hours may vary due to private events.
In-cottage catering is also available, including heat-and-serve traybakes, grazing boards and brunch platters.
From April 2026, The Ferry House will open only for special dining events, with private dining and events, and in-cottage catering continuing.

By Janpriv on 19-Nov-2024Recently stayed at Mocketts Farm for a family wedding at the Ferry House. The accommodation was spacious, clean, convenient to the location and very peaceful. Fleet Lodge was well equipped and contained everything we needed. We all wished we had a little more time there!
