With eight ensuite bedrooms and space for up to 21 guests, The Farmhouse is the final addition to complete our five-cottage collection – a peaceful hideaway in the Kent countryside, made for memorable group stays.Beautifully set in the heart of the Kent countryside with panoramic pastoral views, the Farmhouse is the jewel in the Mocketts Farm Cottages crown. The largest of our five countryside cottages, The Farmhouse comfortably sleeps up to 21 guests across eight ensuite bedrooms – ideal for big family get-togethers, milestone celebrations or reconnecting with friends.
At its heart, the spacious open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area brings everyone together. Whether you’re cooking up a feast, gathered around the table, or relaxing on the sofas, there’s room for shared moments and slow mornings.
Seven of the bedrooms can be made up as doubles or twins, with two offering extra pull-out beds for flexible family arrangements. A ground floor ensuite and an additional wet room make The Farmhouse a great choice for those with limited mobility.
Outside, your private garden offers space to dine alfresco, enjoy countryside views, and unwind in the fresh air. Guests also have access to our shared games room, a secure 2-acre dog exercise paddock*, and nearby Ferry House restaurant – serving award-winning seasonal food just a stroll away. Just a short stroll from the cottage, our 2AA Rosette restaurant, The Ferry House, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with views over the Swale estuary. It’s dog-friendly, with private dining available for groups. Pre-booking is essential, as opening hours may vary due to private events.
In-cottage catering is also available, including heat-and-serve traybakes, grazing boards and brunch platters.
From April 2026, The Ferry House will open only for special dining events, with private dining and events, and in-cottage catering continuing.

By Anne W on 11-Nov-2024Home from a great weekend at Mocketts Farm cottage. The road to the cottage which is about 3 miles, is very bumpy and there are many high points. Ample parking for our 7 cars. A lovely welcome basket was waiting for us on arrival. Every room had an en suite, supplied with hand soap & towels. The beds were comfortable and sheets were crisp & clean. The 2 other bedrooms downstairs are handy. There is also a large bathroom with shower for disabled. The kitchen was so well stocked with everything you could need. Pots, pans platter dishes & more. The sofas were comfortable. ( tv could have been a bit bigger for the size of the room but worked fine) The long dinning table & chairs were great as we were all able to sit & eat all together ( some chair legs need tightening up) There was more than enough cutlery too. The outside area would be great in the summer as there was also a table & chairs to accommodate everyone. We had a slight problem with the heating switching off & the house becoming a tad too cold. But after a quick phone call to the owner it was sorted. The ferry house is just a 5 minute walk. We all had a great stay
