Blissful beautiful break

By Alice and Fred on 14-Feb-2025

From initial contact to departure this was a pleasurable experience. The cottage is a delight, and instead of that slightly rented accommodation feel, has a real sense of home away from home. In fact much nicer than my home so it was a true escape. My dog loved the garden and the set up is really dog friendly - with treats and leads and poo bags. The local walk in the meadows was just wonderful. The pub has great food and within walking distance. We had the best time - and would happily stay again - or forever depending…! Jo was so lovely and welcoming and I heartily recommend staying here. Sorry it’s taken me this long to review.

Charming, and quirky

By Mark & Wendy on 11-Jul-2024

A delightful time out in a Victorian worker’s cottage. From the hollyhock lined street to the quiet rear garden, it’s a quirky, welcoming wee cottage. The kitchen is well equipped and has a full sized fridge next to an efficient washing machine. (Hallelulia).

Thank you both !

Charming cottage

By Michael Peters on 22-May-2024

A charming example of a 3 up 2 down cottage that’s been sympathetically updated. The large dig friendly garden opens onto the recreation ground behind which is an added bonus. With 2 great pubs a minute’s walk away and sitting in the middle of the charming village the cherry on top of the cake is the charming hostess. Well worth a visit.

September break in Sheet

By Bob on 14-Sep-2024

Had an wonderful stay in Barbury Cottage. Very clean and cosy with an enclosed garden much appreciated by our rescue greyhound. Jo is responsive to communications and very helpful. Sheet is a friendly village and the food at the Queen's Head is excellent. Would recommend booking to ensure a table. We will look forward to returning in the future.
