Description
Manifold Farmhouse is a characterful and spacious self catering holiday property set in a beautiful rural location in the Peak District. Welcoming both dogs and cyclists, the farmhouse enjoys direct access to rolling hills, quiet country lanes and fabulous walks straight from the doorstep, making it an ideal base for exploring the countryside with family and friends.Sleeping up to 24 guests, Manifold Farmhouse offers ten stylishly designed bedrooms, with three located on the ground floor. The property features eight en suite or shared bathroom facilities, thoughtfully arranged to suit large groups and family stays. Centrally located in the heart of the UK, the farmhouse is just 10 miles from Derby Train Station, with direct services to London St Pancras in around one hour and thirty minutes.
The ten boutique style bedrooms have been individually decorated and carefully styled, featuring striking wallpapers, plush cushions and luxurious bedding throughout. Seven bedrooms with six bathrooms and en suites are located within the main farmhouse, while a further three bedrooms are found in the adjoining wing, which is connected via a striking glass hallway and benefits from two additional en suite or bathroom facilities.
Most bedrooms offer flexible sleeping arrangements and can be made up as twins or doubles, with some rooms also providing bunk beds for children, making the property particularly well suited to family groups. Three bedrooms are conveniently located on the ground floor.
In the wing of the farmhouse, guests will find a stunning designer kitchen fitted with bespoke modern units and fully equipped to cater for large groups. The kitchen includes all the appliances, cookware and facilities required for an easy self catering stay, while the open plan dining room seats up to 20 guests. Guests can choose to cook for themselves or take advantage of recommended local outside catering companies and private chefs.
Manifold Farmhouse offers two beautiful sitting rooms, each furnished with soft seating, comfortable sofas and feature fireplaces. The main farmhouse lounge includes a working fireplace, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere that is perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the Peak District.
A real highlight of the property is the impressive games room housed within a converted barn. With exposed beamed rafters, this large and versatile space includes table tennis and table football, along with a relaxed chill out area at the far end featuring oversized bean bags, a log burner and a wall mounted TV.
Measuring approximately 14 metres by 6 metres, the games room has been designed as a multi functional space, with equipment that can be folded away to create an open area suitable for yoga sessions, workshops or meetings. A kitchenette is also available for tea and coffee making, along with WiFi throughout the space.
Outside, Manifold Farmhouse benefits from generous lawned gardens to the front and side of the property, offering plenty of space for garden games and outdoor relaxation while enjoying open views towards the village of Idridgehay. To the front of the farmhouse, a patio area with picnic benches provides a wonderful setting for alfresco dining.
A charcoal barbecue is available for use between 1 April and 31 October. Guests are asked to supply their own charcoal and lighting equipment.
Manifold Farmhouse enjoys an excellent location for exploring the Peak District, with easy access to Ashbourne, Wirksworth and Carsington Water. Alton Towers is around a 30 minute drive away, making this a fantastic base for families looking to combine countryside relaxation with popular local attractions.
Please note that access to the property is via a narrow country lane and is therefore unsuitable for coach access. For guests arriving by electric vehicle, a 7kW smart EV charging point is available to the rear of the barns building and kitchen on the right hand side of the glass walkway, with minimal charges applying.
