perfect stay

By Eve on 19-Jan-2026

We stayed at the cottage in January and it was the perfect stay. It’s even nicer than the pictures make it look and everything in there was of great quality and very comfortable. The cottage was warm and cosy and the views are just magnificent. It was also in a great location - being away from (but still very close to!) the hustle of Ambleside at the top of a little hill. Andy and Judy were very kind and welcoming, and we hope to come back asap! Thanks both, Eve

The cottage was beautiful and the view unreal.

Andrew & Judy were lovely and welcoming hosts. The Cottage was beautiful and the view from the back garden and windows had unreal views. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would come back in the future.

Perfect little house with a fantastic view. We had a great stay and were made to feel very welcome. We also loved watching the birds whilst we ate our breakfast each morning.

"A beautiful Place"

By Kris & Judy Goring on 12-Jul-2025

Ash Cottage is a most beautiful place with the most incredible views! We spent a lot of time on the patio and looking out of the windows, depending on the weather! We were very comfortable and our host was friendly and helpful.

Simply perfect!

By Roger on 16-Aug-2025

My wife and i spent a wonderful week in Ash Cottage. From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to enjoy our stay! We received a lovely warm welcome from Andy on arrival, he explained how everything worked, and stated that he'd be be there should we need anything. The cottage is in a lovely location for getting out and about, with lovely walks from the door step. The views from the cottage are absolutely amazing, we spent every evening taking in the wonderful scenery, after a day out walking and exploring the area. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Both Andy and Judy were very welcoming, and there to offer advice if needed, and were never intrusive. We enjoyed our stay very much, and can't wait to visit again next year! Thank you for sharing your ovely cottage.

Great value for a comfortable, clean, cosy, and well equipped place. The outstanding view from the front of the house is what really brings the wow factor. Andy was a kind and helpful host. Many thanks.
