Description
Beautiful ground floor three-bedroom cottage in a converted stone barn in lovely village setting. Sleeps 6, with sociable kitchen and living areas - great for families.The cottage is just a short walk from the pleasant village pub. There are routes for walking and cycling on the doorstep, but it is also well-situated for access to the North York Moors National Park, Howardian Hills AONB, York, and East Coast.
The space
The Stables has three bedrooms - a double, a twin, and a third bedroom that can be made up as either a single or twin room.
There is a family bathroom with bath and shower, and a second shower-room as well as a well-equipped kitchen, dining room, cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove (plenty of logs supplied), and a conservatory.
There's a garden for guests to enjoy and wifi, landline phone, TV and DVD player all provided.
Off-road parking and lockable shed to store bicycles.
Cots and high-chairs can be provided on request. Central heating throughout, linen and towels provided.
Guest access
You will have sole use of the cottage and its facilities.
The tumble dryer is in an outhouse nearby and is shared with guests in our second cottage, The Arches.

By Liam on 22-Aug-2025Great cottage in lovely village half an hours drive from York and lots to do locally. Loads of room for a family of 4, well equipped with everything you could need. Milk, eggs, bread and delicious cake on arrival was a nice surprise. Check in was easy and detailed instructions were provided by host. Would definitely come again and will recommend to others.
