Lovely spacious house and annexe stunning gardens

By April on 01-Aug-2025

Our extended family of 11 and 3 dogs had a wonderful two weeks at the quackery. We were blessed with lovely weather which meant we made full use of the beautiful massive garden, which had the most beautiful river running through it. Even though the weather had been so dry for weeks meaning the grass was not as green as it normally would be it completely made our holiday, the photos do not do it justice. We had a lovely BBQ and toasted s'mores around the fire pit.The Jacuzzi was wonderful and also the girls loved the trampoline and tree swing. The property is reached by a long country road and it is right at the end with a lovely circular drive which was easily enough to accommodate our many cars. We loved how secluded and peaceful it was. The inside of the house and the annexe were plenty big enough for our large group. The only little inconvenience was not having a shower in the main bathroom. We explored the local towns and really liked clarkes village. We also visited fleet air museum and Haynes motor museum where we did go karting which was excellent. We also ate at a lovely Indian restaurant in Langport called Cardamon. Christopher was a very friendly helpful host who was on call with information and any other help or information we needed. Our two weeks went in a flash and we would have loved to stay longer. We hope to visit again.

We had a brilliant time at this house, everything worked and it was so clean and tidy. The owner was brilliant, always willing to help and give advice. If we come back up this way we will definitely stay here again

A great place to stay, The house was very comfortable, and set in beautiful grounds.

We loved everything about staying at this house and children had best time ever! It is certainly a truly magnificent location and much better than it looks on the website !! So peaceful with plenty of nature around yet local amenities not too far away. The owner was a pleasure to deal with, and nothing was not too much trouble for them, & they gave us plenty of worthwhile recommendations!
