Tucked away at the end of a no-through lane in the Somerset countryside, Kingshay Barton is an extraordinary large group holiday house full of rustic charm and modern luxury. This beautifully converted golden Hamstone barn sleeps 20 guests in 10 ensuite bedrooms, with space for up to 3 additional children (aged 14 and under) at a small extra charge each.The facilities are second to none: a stunning spa hall with pool, hot tub and sauna, a games room for friendly competition, and a cinema room for cosy film nights. It’s the perfect recipe for blissful country living, whether you’re here for a family holiday, a multi-generational gathering, or a peaceful celebration with close friends.
The grounds are just as special – sprawling lawns, meandering paths, an apple orchard, and even a quirky mini 'henge'. A rustic stone-built barbecue bothy, complete with heaters and lighting, makes alfresco dining a year-round delight. Beyond the gates, a little path leads down to a stream where you can paddle and play to your heart’s content.
When you’re ready to explore, you’ll find family attractions, historic houses and fantastic places to eat close by, with the coast just half an hour away. Travel is easy too – Kingshay Barton is only five minutes from Crewkerne station (on the London Waterloo–Penzance line) and within easy reach of the A303 and A358.

By Denise Alder on 22-Jan-2024This is our second stay with our friends and words cannot describe how beautiful this is. The house has everything you need. The facilities are out of this world just wish I had more time as didn't get to use the cinema as we just had fun filled days using the games room, bbq and pool area. The gardens and bbq area are so pretty. The bedrooms are lovely all with onsuite, very comfortable beds. It's spotless in every room and no faults at all. I would highly recommend it.
This was a great place to stay and spend quality time with the family.

Lots of amazing and exciting things to do during the stay such as - the pool, jacuzzi , sauna , cinema room and games room. The children also enjoyed going for a walk across the green to see the sheep’s. Very clean and tidy with free internet too. All over an amazing stay!
Fantastic break

Wonderful weekend
By Baggs on 07-Mar-2025We had a wonderful weekend with family (party of 19 ages 2 to 82) the property had everything we needed for a family celebration. Used all the facilities available, loved the BBQ in the bothy and the pool room was fantastic, very dog friendly. Absolutely perfect!!. The manager Sarah was friendly and very helpful. Happy memories were made.

By Pitts on 04-Apr-2025Everything was totally perfect! The only improvement would have, perhaps, been to have been able to arrive a couple of hours earlier and leave an hour or two later at the end. We just loved staying in the property for the entire weekend!
