Once a modest 1930's farmworker's cottage, Beyond The Woods has seen an amazing transformation and now offers luxurious and spacious group accommodation for 14 people. 2 extra beds are available at an additional charge each - these are great for children. The house has a private spa hall with a heated pool, hot tub and sauna, making it a very special place to stay for big family holidays, hen weekends, self catering corporate breaks and celebrations.The location is nothing short of fabulous, being at the heart of a 180-acre organic farm near Wellington in Somerset. Besides the huge private garden there are open fields, rolling hills and wooded valleys to explore right from the doorstep. You'll find heaps to see and do in the surrounding area, and the Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park are within easy reach.

By Warwick on 01-Jan-2025So much to do at the house, you won't need to go anywhere if you're there for a weekend. Lovely house, gardens, children's play area with a fantastic pool/spa area - the pool is a great size - and a covered games room. Leave by the utility room door and go out of the gate and just over the road you can meet Blackberry & Apple, kune kune pigs. Very friendly. Also, a lovely farm dog comes to visit every day.

By Lucking on 03-Mar-2025What a fantastic place. Our weekend was amazing. Homemade cake too, what a lovely treat! The house was spotlessly clean and stocked with everything you could think of. The bedrooms were beautiful with such comfy beds, and then the pool area…wow.. heaven!! Best weekend ever.

By Alfaham on 04-Apr-2025have nothing but good reviews of the whole experience, and we were well catered for and helped. The kitchen was a bit small for a large group of people. Having said that, the swimming pool was exceptional.

By Jones on 05-May-2025It was perfect! Lacked nothing. Wonderful for children ( we had 5 aged 15 to 2) and they LOVED it! Great for leasable dad all areas accessible. Have no complaints, and there was plenty of information about the house and surroundings. Plenty of indoor games for all ages and had playing instructions!

Pool was the best we've ever had
By Allen on 08-Aug-2025Pool was the best we've ever had, everyone (ages 3-67) loved it and also the jacuzzi and sauna. Farm setting brilliant for children - we picked fruit, petted the animals, fed the pigs, did the farm walk. House also excellent and the owners could not have been more charming. Garden, BBQ, deck and play areas very well used during our week of hot weather. Did not feel the need to leave the house and grounds except for the Dunster Show one day and to get groceries. Perfect for us - 3 generations on our annual family holiday. We always look for a house with private indoor pool + something a bit different (not easy to find) & this house fits the bill perfectly. V well-equipped for anything you could want, very approachable & accessible owners on hand if needed, great surroundings, very peaceful but lots to do on site & in the area should you want that. Fixtures and fittings of a high standard and everything well cared for. On-site EV charging a huge bonus. 10/10!!
