This centuries-old farmhouse has been lovingly renovated to blend traditional character with modern comfort, creating the perfect self-catering escape for groups of family and friends.Sleeping 21 guests in 8 ensuite bedrooms (with 18 permanent beds plus 3 extra singles available on request), the house is bright, spacious and full of rustic charm. There’s plenty to keep everyone entertained – an indoor heated pool, sauna, hot tub, games room, and generous outdoor space where children can play to their hearts’ content.
Pound Farm is ideal for big family holidays, catch-ups with friends, peaceful celebrations and sophisticated hen weekends. Just a short stroll takes you into the local village with its shops, two friendly pubs, a working watermill, and The West Somerset Railway where you can hop aboard a steam train to the coast. For days out, the Quantock Hills AONB is close by, with glorious walks and panoramic views, while family attractions and the county town of Taunton are all within easy reach.
With the M5 less than 10 miles away, getting here is simple – but once you arrive at Pound Farm, you may not want to leave.

By Slinger on 06-Jun-2025Pound Farm was wonderful! It had everything required for a perfect stay. The house was beautiful and perfect for 15 of us. The pool, hot tub and sauna were a real bonus and were thoroughly enjoyed.

The house is absolutely fantastic, we had an amazing time celebrating an 18th Birthday. I would definitely recommend this house and there isn’t anything I could identify to improve. We had a fantastic weekend!

Wow - what a fabulous property.
By Tabberer on 07-Jul-2025WOW - what a fabulous property. All the bedrooms are ensuite and very comfortable, lovely linens and large towels. We loved all the facilities - the pool was amazing, hot tub easily sat 6 of us and was great with the large umbrella over to shade the sun (which we luckily had all week), Lots of games, croquet and pool table to keep everyone entertained. Would definitely return and recommend.
