Perys Hill is hidden away in a very peaceful and secluded setting deep in the Somerset countryside; this gorgeous large group accommodation sleeps 12 guests with room for 2 more children aged 12 years and under at no extra cost. There’s a games room and a very short walk from the door is the most amazing indoor pool, built into the hillside with a green roof and incredible views across an unspoilt valley. The large grounds have terraced lawns, woodlands and streams; it’s an idyllic place to stay for unforgettable holidays and quiet celebrations with close friends and family.The accommodation at Perys Hill comprises a lovingly renovated farmhouse and a separate cottage; the farmhouse sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms and the cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. There are walks from the doorstep and just a stone’s throw away is a beautiful nature reserve. In the village there’s an excellent gastro pub and only a few miles away is Wiveliscombe with regular markets and local shops. Nearby are family attractions, historic houses and activities, Exmoor National Park and the beaches of the Somerset Coast. Perys Hill is so much more than a place to stay, it’s a place to dream, a place to remember.

By Price on 28-Jan-2025Could not fault our stay at Peryshill. I booked this house for 30th birthday celebrations and it was exactly how we wanted to celebrate. Enjoying the pool, snooker table, and making the most of the house. A perfect chilled stay. Thank you.
The place was amazing!
By Leek on 07-Mar-2025The place was amazing! The kids enjoyed the movie room, the pool, the foosball table and snooker table. And they enjoyed exploring the grounds and nearby area with us. The view was lovely, especially by the pool and on a clear night you could see so many stars! Our property manager Simone was very helpful and easy to chat with. She introduced herself by phone initially, and was quick to deal with any issues. At one point the fire wasn’t working and we had an issue with the washing machine. So as a good will gesture she ordered some scones, jam and cream to be delivered to us. Which I thought was a really nice gesture and went down very well with all. I was a little concerned about sleeps12 asking for a security deposit. We often book properties similar to this and are not usually asked for a security deposit. This almost prevented us from booking. However, this turned out to be not an issue.
Absolutely stunning
By Roberts on 10-Mar-2025The house was absolutely stunning. Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The Bramley toiletries were extra special and having robes we could wear to the pool was great. The whole grounds and gardens were so beautifully kept and it was the most tranquil and peaceful place to stay. With a big group of us the multiple ovens were so handy and the open plan kitchen, diner and living area meant we were all together but it never felt overcrowded. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place anymore! I’m desperate to return one day.

By Batty on 15-May-202510/10 - The pool was for us the highlight, Our grandchildren were really excited and were up at daybreak the first morning. We all made good use of the pool- wonderful to have several dips in the day- just when we fancied. All beautifully maintained and warm. Good shower and facilities. The views from the pool were spectacular. Several people played snooker- my husband brought his own cue- beautiful original paneled room. We had a go at croquet- some more successfully than others, but fun! We used the BBQ- sunny enough to eat on the outside lawn. The children loved the climbing frame and swings, and it was a lovely safe area for them to play The layout, spacious bedrooms and en-suites, relaxing lounge - just great for a large group, and so many nice little touches- cake on arrival- very welcoming. The huge kitchen was amazing. We weren't very ambitious in our catering, relying mainly on a huge COOK order- all delicious! One or two extra items in the kitchen would have been useful- more small sharp knives for preparing salad ( loads of large ones but only one small) another dish or two for serving salads, some storage containers for the fridge, more small size glasses for fruit juice etc, more small bowls or fruit dishes. But all in all it was very well stocked with most things we needed. And two dishwashers was brilliant. We struggled slightly with the TV and entertainment. Our younger relatives had no problem with the music system, but some instructions would be helpful for setting up the DVD player. Also instructions for the heating should it be very cold weather. So many good things to comment on, but the best of all was the location- beautiful views, tranquil setting- a true "getting away from it all"- we loved it!
