Great barn great owners

By Mike Tatum on 14-Jun-2022

This is a well prepared large open airy barn in a wonderful area. There was a well stocked kitchen and the lounge areas had a number of sofas depending on what you wanted to do. The sense of space was amazing. Outside had a number of different seating areas catching the sun at different times of the day. MThe owners were extremely pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly recommended for a peaceful holiday yet in easy reach of many attractions.

Home from home

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at the barn. It’s very comfortable and the hosts are very welcoming. There are lots of thoughtful touches; milk and fresh apple juice, tea, coffee, fresh flowers, log burner already lit. Barn is spacious and outside space stunning. Very peaceful but close to beautiful days out. Lots of space to stretch out and relax.

Peaceful setting.

We had a lovely relaxing time staying in Isabelle and Steve’s beautiful barn conversion. There is a small lake just outside with swans and ducks and lots of varied walks around the property through the fields. The barn itself is very spacious, comfortable and well maintained. Isabelle and Steve made us very welcome and we were greeted with a roaring fire, (it was early March) farm fresh bread, eggs, butter and delicious apple juice and pots of herbs along with other basic provisions which were very welcome after a long journey. A stream babbles alongside the property just beyond the large sunny patio area and at night It’s a good spot to star gaze as there is little light pollution around the barn. It is also very handy for all the quaint little coastal villages and towns in the area. The tram in Seaton is just 10 mins away and is a great day out, Lyme Regis with its unusual cob sea wall is also very close and has a great micro brewery which is well worth a visit. The barn is well located to explore the coastal path in as well as other areas a little further afield. We would definitely return.
