Description
Four bedroomed house, sleeping 7 plus an infant in a travel cotFrom entering into the Old Bank we have an enclosed lobby area, the downstairs area has interconnecting doors from the living room into the dining room.
The living room has a smart TV and the whole property has free WiFi. Cosy up on the corner sofa with the flame effect fire or play family games with the selection available.
The dining room and kitchen are open plan, which enable the table to fully extend to accommodate 8 people, with a high chair available.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all things we tend to use, so if anything is missing let us know! Full sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, slow-cooker, blender.
From the kitchen you can directly access our outside area with table, chairs and bench seat.
From the internal door you find yourself at the foot of stairs. Under the stairs we have our Utility room complete with washer, dryer and heated airer. Iron and ironing board.
From the stair well is also access to the downstairs shower-room with rainfall shower, toilet and basin.
Up the stairs you find our four bedrooms. The three double bedrooms have super king beds, which can be split to twin beds as required.
Our single room we feel offers something different, with a range of additional sensory items; sensory board, light panel, water feature light, led lighting, speaker, weighted blanket, suited to neurospicy individuals. A bed side is also available.
The bathroom upstairs offer a bath, perfect for relaxing after a day fell walking, with a shower over, toilet and basin.
We want all your family members, whether two legged, crawling or four-legged to enjoy their stay at the Old Bank.
We have a travel cot, highchair, stair gate all available at no extra cost.
Children's toy box, games and jigsaws
Dog bowls, towels, treats and toys are also on hand.
From the doorstep a short away we have dog friendly beach, where you can find a children's play area, ice-cream shop and café. Walk to the top of St Bees Head and on a fine day you can see the Isle of Mann and Scotland.
We have two pubs within walking distance, both serving fabulous food options.
Fancy exploring further? A short drive takes you into the western fells and lakes.
Whist we do not have parking there is plenty within the village with a free station car park only 50m from our house.

Gifts for everyone, chocolates for us and gifts for our dogs, very thoughtful and generous. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and the single sensory bedroom was fabulous. The washer and dryer came in handy and we could see the love and effort that the owners have put into the house to make it beautiful, it was also decorated for Christmas, fabulously. We could not fault the effort that was provided to make our Christmas stay so special. We will definitely stay at The Old Bank when we visit St bees. Fantastic family dwelling in a great spot, parking was easy in the train station car park, very short walk to the house. Close to the beach and two good pubs very close by. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Perfect place for a break
By Caroline Walsh on 12-Dec-2024The house was fantastic and had everything that you could think of, even temporary dog tags, for our stay. Perfect location, with two pubs on that did great food, a shop up the road, the beach just a 15 minute walk and then access to the Lake District just a drive away. The owners were really nice and made sure we had everything we wanted. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.
