There is also a large games room with snooker, table tennis, darts and children's toys, and a pleasant, secure garden surrounded by fields.
With central heating and double glazing, the cottage is warm and comfortable to be in all year round and there are stunning sea views from the main living rooms and garden. There's always something to see - the ferry going across to Ireland (day trips available) - a buzzard hovering - the Strumble Head lighthouse flashing - fishing boats visiting their crab pots.
There are safe sandy beaches nearby which are never crowded, even in peak season, rock pools, interesting little coves and fishing harbours and wonderful walks. A footpath along the lane winds down to Aberfelin beach, with its ancient mill stones, and the Coastal Path, which follows some of its most spectacular scenery here. The cliffs are carpeted with flowers in spring and in early autumn there are seal pups on the beaches below.
The City of St Davids is 6 miles away - a small town complete with cathedral, Bishops Palace, Lifeboat station, restaurants and interesting local shops.
There's good surfing nearby, windsurfing, sailing, coasteering, fishing and pony trekking, also boat trips to island bird sanctuaries. There are historic towns and castles to explore and many friendly pubs and good eating places in the area. Pub and shop 1 mile.

Leave ReviewGreat week away on the coast
By Judith H on 27-Sep-2025Lovely place to stay, very well equipped, warm and comfortable. Garden very secure for our two westies (might be less secure for long-legged dogs that can jump fences). St David’s super close too. Great week, thank you!

Games room (with table tennis and pool), board games and puzzles were ace for kids. Well stocked kitchen. Clean and comfortable. A good base to explore the gorgeous beaches, coastal paths, mills and other attractions. Lots of helpful local maps and books in the cottage. Great communication from Bryony. Response from Bryony August 2025 Bryony I just love it when people enjoy being at the cottage as much as us! Thankyou for taking the trouble to the write your review.
Lovely stay in cottage
By Joe on 23-Aug-2025We had a lovely stay in the cottage. The kids (6 & 13 years old) especially liked the games room with pool table, darts and ping pong. The location is great for exploring the coastline around St. David’s.

Stunning view from the window
By Sanju on 24-May-2025Stunning view from the window, clean and tidy place, nice play area at the back house, good places to visit within 30 mins, if you like watching sunsets there is a place just 10 min from the house. Overall, we had a very good experience.
