Orchard Barn started life as a humble stables and hayloft in the 1800’s. Over time it became derelict until it was converted in 2002 along with the neighbouring farm buildings at Penberthy Farm. Now a beautifully converted barn, providing delightful reverse-level holiday accommodation, Orchard Barn comfortably sleeps 4 plus a cot in 2 good-sized bedrooms.
Orchard Barn is set in an idyllic rural location, just a 10 minute drive from St Ives and the north Cornish coast’s glorious sandy beaches. The delights of Marazion, St Michael’s Mount and The Minack Theatre are also within easy reach.
Ideally located for exploring the delights of West Cornwall; there are 12 different beaches within 20 minutes of Orchard Barn (and even more a little bit further). That's a different beach everyday of the week!
Orchard Barn is a detached property sharing its peaceful location at the end of a private lane with four other cottages, all set around a graveled courtyard with central pond, overlooked by Orchard Barn's front terrace.
Accessed via steps, the first floor open-plan living room has lime washed wooden floors, open painted beams, comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, DVD player, Bluetooth music speaker and a cosy wood-burner. Stairs lead down to the bedrooms and family bathroom.
Should you wish to dine-in, the modern kitchen is fully equipped. There is an electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.
The master bedroom has a double bed, large wardrobe and en-suite bathroom, with shower, wc and wash-basin. Stable style doors open onto the private front terrace, where you can enjoy a morning coffee. There is ample space for a cot (a travel cot is provided).
The second bedroom has twin beds and a large wardrobe. Tastefully decorated to suit either children or adults. The twin room also has direct access to the private front terrace. There is a family bathroom with bath, fitted shower, wc and wash-basin adjacent to the twin room.
Orchard Barn has a large enclosed private garden. There is a picnic table with sun shade perfect for alfresco dining. There is plenty of space to relax or play. A trampoline with safety net is also provided to entertain children.
