Edith Cottage is a stunning and spacious period cottage close to the beach and village green, perfect for a blissful summer break or cosy winter getaway with family, friends – dogs are welcome.
Newly and beautifully refurbished, this stylish and cosy Victorian villa is in the charming village of St Helens on the Isle of Wight. A short walk to the beach and just off a picturesque village green, it sleeps 8 in four double bedrooms (one downstairs) with pets welcome. Airy and light with bay views, it features stripped wooden floors, a fireplace with wood-burning stove, stunning open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room; garden room with additional seating/eating space, four double bedrooms, three bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom and utility room. It has a pretty wrap-around cottage garden and raised terrace with distant views of Bembridge bay and the sea beyond for eating and relaxing.
LOCATION
Edith Cottage is situated on a quiet no-through lane, two minutes’ walk from the pretty Bembridge harbour with access via a rustic causeway that cuts across the water, a popular section of the coastal path, to St Helens Beach/cafes, beautiful surrounding common land for birdwatching and other East coast beaches. Links to cycle routes and Culver Down for inland walks are close by.
A short stroll up the lane is St Helens village green which offers a cafe/deli, a pub, a restaurant, vintage book shop, a church, post office/general store and children’s play area.
There is a regular summer water taxi across the bay – or a 5 minute drive/15 min walk to the popular village of Bembridge for gift shops, cafes, bakery, butcher, fishmonger, deli/grocers, pubs and restaurants.

Four Bedrooms, lovely comfortable beds. 3 en suites with a roll top bath in main bedroom. Fully equipped. The main living area plenty big for a family to enjoy and not separated from the kitchen. A big comfortable conservatory Aka sun room. Outside decking area and nice garden. Close to a nice walk into Bembridge. If considering this property. Go for it you won't be disappointed. Extremelty Clean - Dogs welcome - Would love to stay Again

This house has the WOW factor and would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you for allowing us to stay with our dogs at your beautiful home.

Always really well presented, quiet, comfortable beds, good showers, kitchen with everything you need, space for extended family and view / access to Duver is great, especially with dog. Thoroughly recommend, HB is an absolute pleasure to book through, thanks Annabel.
Well Equipped, comfortable & a beatiful interior
By Guest December 2022 on 21-Dec-2022We stayed at Edith Cottage between Christmas and New Year, the house was warm and very comfortable, The kitchen was very well equipped. Lots of space for 6 of us. Beds were super comfy. Harriet has done a beautiful job of the interior. Will definitely will be back again.
