**PLEASE NOTE: THE APARTMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR UP TO 4 PEOPLE FROM EASTER TO 26 SEPTEMBER 2025HOWEVER, FROM 26 SEPTEMBER 2025 TO EASTER 2026 WE ONLY offer the apartment on a ONE-BEDROOM/1 BATHROOM basis (except for the October half-term), using the courtyard bedroom (bedroom 1 in the photo) with its king sized bed and ensuite bathroom with shower over. This option is for 1 or 2 people and includes FULL USE OF THE WHOLE APARTMENT, FRONT GARDEN AND SIDE COURTYARD - except for the back bedroom and bathroom which will be locked and unoccupied. Occasionally we can offer this option at other times too.

We're very sorry if this is confusing but the new Simplyowners.net site doesn't accommodate separate pricing (or photos) for our 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom option.

1 Porthminster Apartments is tucked away in a leafy corner at the top of Porthminster Terrace, on the east side of St Ives. This means you don't have to negotiate the narrow streets of the town. It's a fairly quiet spot, ideal for admiring the sea view from the front garden or enjoying meals and evening drinks in the courtyard in the afternoon and evening sunshine.
The apartment is situated on the ground-floor of a recently converted end-of-terrace Victorian house with a dedicated private parking space, which is easily accessed, right outside the apartment, between the front garden and the courtyard. It has a lockable parking post.
South-facing and sunny with a lovely sea view from the side bay window of the sitting room and from the front garden, the apartment is light and spacious, tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard.
It has two bedrooms with comfortable beds. One bedroom has a king-sized bed, wardrobe and bedside tables plus an en suite bathroom; the other bedroom has twin beds, wardrobe and bedside tables and has an adjacent shower room. Both bathrooms have modern, luxury fittings: the en suite bathroom room has a bath with shower over, WC & washbasin and an attractive courtyard leads from this bedroom. A separate large shower-room, washbasin & WC is next to the second bedroom which is quite separately located in the apartment. This provides considerable privacy - ideal for 2 couples or a couple with children.
We welcome babies and, if required, a travel cot and high chair is available on request - we hire baby equipment from our cleaning company and pass on the small charge at cost to our guests.
A well fitted and equipped, open-plan kitchen leads from the spacious sitting/dining room where you have attractive, comfortable seating, 40" flatscreen TV + DVD player, plus a lovely coastal view from the side bay window.
Facilities include: Welcome pack on arrival, free wi-fi, gas central heating/instant hot water, heated towel rails; duvets, clean fresh bedding and towels (1 x bath sheet + 1 x hand towel per person) are supplied and the beds are made up; washer/dryer, Bosch electric fan oven, gas hob with extractor, microwave, freestanding fridge/freezer, dishwasher; double glazed throughout, flat screen digital 40" TV in sitting room with Freeview, DVD player.
Outside there is a front garden for guests' sole use and this also enjoys the fine sea view, plus there's a separate westerly facing courtyard for visitors' sole use with a dining set to seat 4 people. The front garden enjoys a southerly aspect and the courtyard is west-facing - ideal for evening dining! The location is quiet and we ask visitors not to party or play loud music.
It's a short, 5-minute stroll to Porthminster beach, St Ives' bustling centre, pretty harbour, galleries, restaurants and shops. St Ives' other lovely beaches are all within walking distance too but please note: St Ives is hilly and the apartment is situated on a short but fairly steep terrace. The walk to and from the beach and the town also involves some steps and some steep walking at times.
Our apartment is cleaned by a professional housekeeping company whose staff have been trained to carry out exacting cleaning and disinfecting protocols in order to minimise cross infection. This training includes Covid-19 risk management.
Please note: we ask for a 25% reservation deposit on booking, plus a £250 damage deposit (£150 for the 1-bedroom option) to be paid with the balance (due 6 weeks before arrival). The damage deposit is normally refunded within a week of your departure, assuming no damage.
Our accommodation is available for weekly lets during peak times, plus short lets off season.
We only accept bookings from families and/or couples. We do not accept bookings for student groups, single sex parties or hen and stag parties unless by prior written arrangement.
In the event of your having to cancel your reservation during a period of travel restrictions due to CoVid19, we will refund all monies paid. Please see our T&Cs, available on request.

By Claudia on 24-Sep-2025Great apartment near Porthminster Beach. The centre of St. Ives can be reached very quickly on foot via a shortcut (steps). The parking space makes the stay perfect and is really important in St Ives. Lauran's apartment has everything you need and is beautifully decorated. Thank you! The communication with Lauran is excellent, who sends a lot of information early on. I had a really nice stay for a week in this pretty apartment!
We really enjoyed our stay
By Stephen on 08-Oct-2025We really enjoyed our stay in Lauran’s apartment, location was excellent only a few minutes walk to the beach or the harbour .The benefit of a parking place in St Ives cannot be underestimated both financially and for convenience. The apartment was as described and the photos a true reflection. Lauran provided very a very useful information pack which included helpful tips on the area . Would not hesitate in staying here should we visit St Ives in the future.
Cannot fault it
By Martin on 17-Sep-2025Cannot fault it. Lovely and spacious, 10 minutes from the beach, town and railway station in a quiet residential area. Lovely hot powerful walk in shower room, and separate en-suite bathroom. Comfortable lounge/kitchen area. Parking is off street right at the back of the apartment, so very easy to load out and load in via the back door. Perfect

It was a few minutes walk into town and it was also very easy to drive to and park at, which is a huge win for me It’s easy to walk to the beaches, although be prepared for a bit of an upwards walk home. Lauran was really helpful and responsive, great host. Her recommendations were good ones and she was there if needed during our stay. There are little notes around the flat to help give pointers (like the microwave wattage for example). We would definitely stay here again!
Great Location

Convenient to town centre and seaside but also away from noise (except seagull at morning )You can watch sunrise at living room, well for a better view only 2 mins walk. Easy to park, nice hot water and many kitchen stuff. Lauran is always responsive and helpful.

We knew the area well so getting about and visiting all the places we already knew so well was very easy using Lauran’s flat as our base for the week. The flat was very nice and had everything we needed for our stay. We would recommend the flat to those wanting a good place to base themselves at whilst visiting St Ives.
