Overview
Description
Three storey terraced cottage ideally situated in the centre of St Ives with large playroom and the latest super-fast broadband. Within easy walking distance of four sandy beaches; very close to shops, restaurants, cinema and The Tate Gallery. Comfortably sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. This is a very homely house, perfect for families. On the ground floor there is a living room, kitchen/diner and bathroom with thermostatic shower over the bath. The modern kitchen sits 6 people around a pine table - great for family meals - and has integrated fridge and dishwasher. There is a large playroom in the basement with books, games and table football. We also have a vintage 1964 pinball table in good condition that is free to play (as it is so old we can't guarantee that it will definitely be working at all times!). Small rear courtyard with hooks for drying wetsuits. Storage for surfboards, etc in small outhouse.
Upstairs there is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one twin bunk room.
Free super-fast wifi throughout the house. Bed linen, bath towels, gas and electricity are also included. Our housekeepers will make the beds ready for you prior to your arrival.
Unlike many parts of St Ives you can stop right outside of the house to unload. Parking is a 5 minute walk away in one of the large town car parks offering 1, 3 or 7 day tickets. You can buy a 7-day ticket in advance that includes access to most council-run car parks across Cornwall at no extra charge. All the car parks are within easy walking distance and the shuttle bus stop for the main car park is just round the corner from the house (2 mins). Please be aware that the bathroom is on the ground floor. Also, the stairs are steep. There are no stairgates in the house but we can arrange hire of these for you, just let us know if you require them. We can also provide a high chair and a travel cot if needed, again please let us know and we will provide a quote for rental.

Leave ReviewCoastal walks, excellent restaurants, cafes and shops...
By Pamela on 15-Sep-2015Jon, made us feel welcome, everything you would or could need was there to use in the house. St.Ives is just on the doorstep. Costal walks, excellent restaurants, cafes & shops. Our little boy tried surfing for the 1st time & loved it. It really is a stunning location, we had a perfect family holiday, we will definitely be returning again.
Treasure trove of a basement...
By Ross on 29-Sep-2015This house is perfectly situated in the centre of St Ives and is a short walk to all the shops, galleries, restaurants and beaches. Jon provided a great deal of information about places to eat and drink and the house was a great base for a memorable holiday. There is plenty of space to sit round the kitchen table for dinner or just over a glass of wine, a cosy lounge and the treasure trove of a basement where the pinball machine and table football proved a great source of entertainment. There was a good selection of beach equipment in the back room which we used on the beach with our son who didnt want to go home. This is a little gem in a beautiful location and we are already planning our next trip
Well appointed house...
By Karin on 15-Dec-2015We had a lovely stay in Jons comfortable St Ives house. The location is superb as it is easy walking distance to the beaches, shops and restaurants. The house is well appointed and has everything you could wish for. We would definitely book again. Thanks Jon :-)
Ideally suited to two families...
By Chris on 13-Apr-2016Had an excellent long weekend in St Ives staying at Jon's cottage. House was in superb condition and ideally suited for the needs of two families, one with a small child. House is in an ideal location and Jon's guide made the stay even more rewarding. Would recommend to anyone visiting St Ives.
Perfect location, great house...
By Rob on 21-Jun-2016We had a really wonderful stay at Jon's beautiful house. Perfect location, great house with plenty of room and even some beach stuff in the outbuilding for my little girl to take to the beach! Jon also sent us some recommendations in advance, which we followed and loved. No problems at all and can't wait to visit again.
A real gem in a perfect location...
By Sara & Andy on 29-Jun-2016Just returned from a fantastic weeks stay, this house is a real gem and it spotlessly clean and well looked after. Perfect location for absolutely everything you'll need in St Ives and we really felt at home and had everything we needed. As it was our first visit Jon was extremely helpful with local information and advice regarding parking which was very easy. I really don't think we could have found a better place and loved every minute of our stay. Would definitely recommend breakfast at Porthminster kitchen, drinks at the crab shack (happy hour 3-5), a visit to the farmers market (thursday) amoungst many things a short stroll away. Can't wait to return, thanks Jon. Sara & Andy
